How can I have more than 6 som in my house ?

Hi
In the sims 3 I have 6 sims in my home and I want  , one of my sims get married her boy friend but I can't because the capacity of my sims is complete .
is there any way to add sim more than six or my sims get married her boyfriend without he move in to my house ?

On the console? Not that I know of, I'm afraid.

You'd have to split the household (if that's an option)

No, six is the limit and splitting the household doesn't work. If you move anyone out they disappear from the game, even if they move in with the family next door.

No you would have to move and remove sims from your house. But they will be gone forever.
