Odd/Confusing Things About Twinbrook?
« on: September 28, 2010, 05:38:13 PM »
Why are there so many extra building levels in twinbrook with nothing in them? Like the Consignment Store is one I know for sure has nothing in the upper levels, also the salon I think. Any ideas, or other weird things you've noticed?

I think it's so that you can buy the property and fix it up the way you want.

The absence of an empty 60x60 lot irritates me to the point of insanity.

I'm doing a Twinbrook game at the moment. On the hill behind the Junkyard/Science building there is a medium lot (30x40 I think). I removed that lot, and put in two (two!) 64x64 plots just off the road, with room left over for another medium plot (which I made into a park.) After trying (and failing) to find a good spot in Barnacle Bay for such a plot, I realized just how ginormous those plots are ...

At any rate, nice views from up there, with great sunsets, but alas no beautiful lot moodlet. The placed plots are mostly level, although you might want to do a bit of terraforming here and there to minimize the amount of slope.

About half the Sims in Twinbrook on my game are invisible.  I'd say that's kinda odd.

The last time I played Twinbrook, some of mine were invisble too.  I have not been back in that town yet.  Not sure why it is just in TB.  I don't have any problems anywhere else.  Seems like each game brought some little glitch with it.

They are completely invisible?  I know this has to sound stupid, but how do you know a Sim is nearby if it's invisible?

I've noticed that a few sims have randomly disappeared while my sim was talking to them...  I didn't see anything though, since I switch back and forth a lot to check on everything.

A bunch of Community Lots have dead Sims graves on them, with the same last names as living families, but no relations. Also, they've all got green skin and grey hair.

What?  Really?

....Now that I think of it, I don't think I've seen a single ghost in Twinbrook.   ???  Any ideas...?

In one house, an invisible sim was playing the guitar, so the guitar was floating in air.  I went downtown and noticed a book was floating above a bench and watched as the invisible sim turned the pages.  It was a little creepy, to say the least. ;D

I've seen that sort of thing too, but only for a moment.  It usually happens when I zip from one location to another really quickly and the game hasn't finished loading all the graphics.   I guess.

Yes, that happens to me too, but these sims didn't fill in, they stayed invisible.  If you are playing the the household, the only way you know a sim is invisible is if you make them the active sim and you see their plumbob.  Strange little town, lol.  There are quite a few gravestones scattered all over town.  I posted something a while back about who they are and what relation, if any, they are to the townspeople that are still alive.  It was an interesting link.

In one of my twinbrook games my sim was selected to run the consignment store is that normal? Also every house in the entire game caught on fire when I teleported to the fire station but no alarms were going off and it didn't give me the opportunity to stop them.

That was when I used the spawn job cheat on more than one house. But not all of them
