Frozen Game in Appaloosa Plains

My game, in Appaloosa Plains, is frozen, and unpaused. I can still hear sounds coming from it. But, the game isn't working. I don't want to quit unless I have no choice, because I haven't saved recently enough for my liking. I'd lose a baby, and a promotion or three.
Can anybody save me????  :'(

How long has it been stuck like this?  Sometimes if you just wait it out, it will start playing again.  Also, be sure to save often!  Once a Sim day is ideal.  It's also a good idea to have multiple saves of each of your games.

Ya, I got to make a habit of that. It was stuck for like, the minutes. But I quit and redid everything. But thanks for the tip!
