The Untouchable Patels: Generation 2, Chapter 6

Hello Sims 3 fanatics, thanks for stopping by!

The Untouchable Patels is a Poverty Challenge & Legacy Hybrid, with a lot in common with the homeless challenge. As "Untouchable" social pariahs, the penniless orphan founders and their heirs aren’t allowed to earn income though any registered occupation. Aside from the back story,  it’s as unstaged as possible. Instead I used natural game play to inform my dialogue, middling free will, no cheats.

A few Legacy conventions provide some structure (polling, trait-rolling, etc.), but this really is a story form all its own. If you liked Roburky’s matchless Alice and Kev, this story is for you. Check out my rules page if you’re interested!

Here are our founders, the 3 orphans Layla, a neglected toddler, Sanjay, a hopeful 10-year-old, and Mohinder, head of his family at 15.

HEIR POLL Update:



Layla Patel and Landon Dorchester won by an enthusiastic landslide, and I'm very happy for them. Get ready for a world of exotic adventures, and thanks for voting! We'll still get updates on how Sanjay and Mohinder are doing in their pursuits, most likely in a "Letters From" post series- but the story will center around our new Untouchable heirs.

I should also mention that my posts are going to be more sparing this month-- I've got two trips coming up, one to Oregon and one to South Korea! But rest assured I will not abandon this legacy, and I appreciate your follows and comments. It might be a good idea to follow by email, so when the Patels return you won't miss it

Hello all,

It's my first day back home, and I'm exhausted- but still super stoked to continue this story, which I plan to pick up next week or sooner. Thanks for sticking around and redirecting folks here; I've been watching those view counts stay healthy while I was away!

Also as a note to bloggers I follow: I've been reading an enjoying your stories so much, though for obvious reasons (mostly to do with foreign wifi) had to take a break from commenting! A shout out of congrats to brainofivane for reaching her heir poll in Chronicles of Clarke, and to notjustabook for continuing her work on Scarlett's Asylum. You guys are awesome.

Thanks to your post today, I just discovered your wonderful story. I was looking for something to read instead of literally watching paint dry. Well, the ceiling dried a long while back, but I just kept reading. That second coat's going to have to wait until tomorrow.
