Nothing comes out when I build a plumbot

My Sims had a hard time entering the future because it would just get stuck when inspecting the portal until I just placed them into a different world completely. They were in Setra but are now in Lucky Palms. But now they are in the future. My Sim goes to the bot emporium place. And it let's be build a plumbot but when I'm done nothing happens. Nothing comes out. Help me please. It's like this household is just glitched.

Definitely sounds glitched.

First question: do you have room in your household to add the bot?  It adds them to your household as a playable character so you have to have room for it.

If so, then something is glitchy.  I'd save your household to the library.  I would then exit the game and clear the caches.  Then start a new game in Sunset Valley (base game town) as it's probably the most stable.  Add the family to the town and wait for the Into The Future machine to show up.  Go thru the steps of going to the future and go try to make a bot and see what happens.

Its doing the same thing. Did I clear the caches wrong.I didn't know how to so I Googled it and it told me to delete 4 types of caches.

No.I only have some content from the sima resources. But I deleted them all expect for one.

I think I'll have to pass this on to someone more knowledgable as that's exhausted my suggestions to fix it.

Have you tried starting a new game in Sunset Valley, pick a family that's already there and take one of them to the future and try to build one?  Would eliminate being a problem with your current family.
