Moving Houses

I just find moving houses in the Sims 3 is very underwhelming.  :P All they do is get in a taxi (or their car) and go. I mean, they get a memory, but they also get memories for lots of useless things, like swimming. They should get in a moving van at the very least. Maybe cry when leaving the home but upon getting to the new home cheer? In my current save, which is just a normal family, I moved houses about 4 times. I just wasn't satisfied with the houses I got. I don't know, what do you guys think? Is it too underwhelming, or ok as it is?  :)

right? i was disappointed too. with university, you get a moving van, but i don't know if it's practical use? i've never tried ...

You can still pack your furniture without university, so I don't know.
