World suggestions for a homeless sim?
« on: June 28, 2014, 01:17:40 AM »
I'm thinking of playing a homeless sim, just so I have something else to do aside from Anna's story. I've grabbed a couple of CC items which I think will fit nicely with the idea (A burning barrel that can be used as a fire pit is one, and a mod that allows you to repair scavenged items from the junkyard is another).

What I'm wondering is... does anyone have any world suggestions? I'd prefer not to play in Bridgeport since I already have a game there. :) I'd even consider the forums Union Cove if that is suggested.

Moonlight falls is good, just fit the feel of it. If you don't have it you could try Riverview, or maybe even DV and Monte Vista.

I've got Supernatural, so I should have it :)

Riverview is tempting, simply because I haven't played there in a VERY long time!

If you have Island Paradise, Barnacle Bay, or Sunlit Tides, you might try a shipwrecked sailor.

That's a great suggestion! You could give the sailor trait.

My favorite is Moonlight Falls! But, I've added a bunch of houses and venues to mine so it's full.

I hadn't considered a shipwrecked sailor, mostly because I wanted to make sure the sim had "Hates the Outdoors" for extra challenge.

Hmmm...

Who says a sailor can't hate the outdoors?!? Maybe he was drafted or sold to a slave ship or something lol

I don't have he EPs that allow for ships, but does it have to be a sailor? It could be an aristocrat or someone running away from something on the ship, and they were the only survivor..?

Ooo an impoverished (couch potato) aristocrat (cue the snob trait lol and maybe lifestyles of the rich and famous) who was conscripted (unlucky) onto the ship and managed to swim to shore (which made him hydrophobic) after the privateer sank... So one could give him the sailor trait if you wanted to (and had the EP) but unnecessary!

EDIT: Khaine have I mentioned how much I'm going to love whatever you plan to do with your homeless sim?!? Cuz I'm loving Anna!

Lots and lots of ideas! I actually made the sim already, but I can take him back into CAS to edit traits if necessary. :) This is the "look" I have so far...

Will probably work on him or Anna later. Right now, I have the urge to shoot some raiders and mutants in the face... so I think it's Fallout time. :D And thanks Magpie! I'm still a little unsure writing for Anna... atm the story is rather boring as everyone is just running around doing their own thing.

Feel really sorry for Kerry atm. She gets up at 8am, barely has time to eat and have a bath and then has a million and one sing-a-grams to do!

Just remember that even the "boring" stuff, if written right (which I have no fear you can do well), can be interesting to the readers too

Thanks to the suggestions here... I've had an idea...

I could eventually link it into Anna's story, but it'll work nicely as a stand-alone too. I'll have to ponder this.

Oooo you could have your mystery sim be Anna's long lost immortal grandpa who has managed to hide all these years/centuries. :o
