Hmm, I've never really thought about worst traits because I tend to have a very "tame" style of play where I don't like drama and keep it super regulated. So I guess it'd have to be traits like neurotic and insane because I can never predict what these Sims are going to do. Oh, and Diva too. These Sims have made far too many enemies for themselves -_-

What traits I don't like have changed with my play style.  I used to loathe slob, but then after having it in a number of different sims in my 10 generation legacy, I got used to it and just made sure I had a neat sim in the house to clean up after them.  It's now more of an annoyance to me.

Flirty, hopeless romantic, and inappropriate are traits that I love in certain games, but drive me nuts in others.  Spontaneous sim drama can be really funny, but also frustrating.  In a game I'm playing just for laughs, a flirty sim hitting on the grim reaper right after he takes her mom, and right in front of her husband, is pretty funny.  But in a more serious toned storyline, I find that kind of thing frustrating.  Inappropriate sims are bad for random come-ons as well.

I recall a game where I had a sim married to Cycl0n3 in Sunset Valley.  They had been happily married for years, had two kids and were near elder, and he had some opportunity that involved Agnes Crumplebottom.  I sent him to her house to take care of it, switched to his daughter for a minute, and the next thing I see when I check on him is him finding Agnes very alluring. Then I look at the relationship bar and see she became a romantic interest, I'm guessing because of an autonomous inappropriate kiss.  He lost his eternally faithful moodlet, and because I didn't immediately do the "ask to be friends" and let it go, figuring I'd fix it later, the next day the wife found out and accused him of cheating.  It took forever to fix their relationship to the point where the wife would even speak to him without getting angry, and I didn't want to use cheats, so I was worried I would not be able to prevent a divorce.  I did manage to do it, but it really soured me on both the reputation system and the inappropriate trait.

Mean-spirited is another one that I don't like, because it requires me to micro-manage sims with it to keep them from being hated by everyone around them.  Playing the Alto family once, I had to constantly watch Nick to keep him from getting both Vita and Holly to hate him within the span of a day because he was always autonomously going to pick fights with them, to a point that it did not even feel realistic.  If he dislikes them that much, how were their relationships not completely red to begin with?

What are the effects of Diva? No Showtime so I don't know.
Diva sims constantly try and do karaoke. They also like to ask for compliments when socialising and generally do lots of interactions to lower the relationship bar when on free will.

Diva's seem to think everybody else is one apart from them, they constantly accuse others of being a diva, while complimenting themselves on their own awesomeness. And they are very quick to slap people about too, don't ever criticize one as they really don't like that.

Could be fun with the right character I guess if it's how you wish to play them, as my first encounter with it was with a singer it did kind of fit her persona, she did amuse me sometimes especially when she took offense at paparazzi  ;D

Snob, Loser, Coward, Mean Spirited and Shy. However, Insane is one of my favorites.

The ones I dislike the most are heavy/light sleeper, proper, rebellious, and vehicle enthusiast. They don't add any extra element to the game for me. Also I hate mooch because townies will always be coming to me for bowls of cereal or something. It gets annoying really fast.

Really? Rebellious? Yeah, I understand the others. I mostly like heavy sleeper because things like burglars and/or crying babies don't wake the sim, so it's an excellent way to make sure they sleep uninterrupted, but I like rebellious, mostly because it means that if they are out 'on the town' doing things they shouldn't be doing, it means they're less likely to get caught AND they get a higher boost moodlet for doing so.
I'm not the best resource for Sims-related info but I do my best, and I've been doing it for 4/5 years.

Right now my least favourite trait is Inappropriate. I just witnessed Yumi Sekemoto putting the moves on her daughter-in-law. Daughter-in-law autonomously rebuffed her and was upset because she had lost Yumi as a friend; all three of Yumi's grandchildren, even the nooboo twins, immediately hated grandma for her romantic betrayal and their moods plummeted into red.

Yumi's son Leighton, oddly, was completely oblivious to his mother kissing his wife. Not sure whether that's because he's Good or simply clueless.

I both love and hate the coward trait, on one hand it was so funny to see my past sim faint whenever there was a transformation in the house, she was a werewolf herself living in a household of werewolves. But then she started to faint EVERY TIME she saw Bonehilda. I love having Bonehilda around because she is entertaining and a better investment in the long run than maids, but this made it impossible to keep her.

I also totally agree with the athletic trait! I had one sim that would never stop working out. I always had to be checking to make sure he would work out without a sweat, and he just seemed frustratingly dumb at times (I can't remember why, but I imagine the after shower thing probably happen often).

I never had any issues with flirty sims. Maybe it's because I don't pay enough attention to them because I focus most of my energy with my insane sims(fav trait right now) or I don't play it enough. Any who, I really dislike the shy trait. Loner I never had a problem with since I don't let my sims have friends, but shy makes even BEING around people hard. Also, the evil diva sim, I need to go try that out with added bonus of insanity and see what chaos it brings. ;D
"Whoa, Ok Whoa. No one said nothing about extortion or blackmail ok. Just a simple beautiful Christmas star that if you bought from me right now at a hefty price of $140 would ensure that I don't destroy your house or threaten your family."

I find that rebellious is awesome for kids and teens then becomes useless later.

Maybe I haven't played a rebellious sim long enough for the benefits then, haha. So far it just doesn't seem useful outside of a teen sim and usually my teen sims are too busy with homework like good kids.  :P

I like most traits, but by far the most annoying (for me at least!) is Grumpy. When on free will my sims always seem to upset others, and the moodlets really affect job performance.

I dislike absent minded. I gave it to my self sim because it is true, but the sim will forget a command 2-3 times before getting it done.

I hate Slob the most because of the belching and farting.  Story progression LOVES to give that trait to all the NPC kids being born in my towns (or at least all the ones who end up moving into my household).

Then again, I also hate Neat because I am not the best Sims housekeeper, and I've lost count of how many times Miraj Alvi has decided to pee himself rather than use a dirty toilet.

I don't mind any except a few which I think are worthless, like "never nude." Other than the one time joke of seeing the Sim taking a shower in his underwear, who cares?

I do like the Diva trait, because Diva Sims get offended and slap anyone who slights them. I had a Clumsy Sim try to high five and being clumsy he missed and the Diva Sim got miffed, slapped him and a fight broke out.
