Old Age Glitch?
« on: June 19, 2014, 07:07:34 PM »
So my age is set to 268 and my guy is still alive at 344. I think that somethings wrong and i don't know if it's a glitch or if I need to do something to allow him to die or something. I also have someone who is 279 and is still alive. I'm almost positive the first one is glitching or something but if the second lives that long then I'll know I did something wrong or my entire game is glitched. If anyone can help please do so. Also the 344 day old has the Althetic thing that makes him live longer. I don't know how long that's supposed to make them live, but it seems like he won't ever die and I want more space for my young adult to have a wife and kids.

Welcome to our Forum.

Most of us play on Normal lifespan, which sets a Sim's age at 90 days.  You're playing a game where the age is about three times longer.  It's actually quite common for Sims to live well beyond their set lifespan.  My own Christopher Steel in my Immortal Dynasty lived something like 118 days on normal lifespan.  Multiple that by three and you get 354, which is close to what you're getting.  I don't think you've got a glitch, just a Sim who's living a long time.

I'm going to move this to the Miscellaneous Help board.  :)

Yeah from what I understand there is no 'set' aging like sims 2...I think it's just random. The more positive they have in their lives the longer they get to live like real life. Maybe try getting hit by a meteor or something. It might turn out to be an interesting experiment on how durable he really is!
