I'm with butterfly on this one. For both. Though, why does Gena have Wrinkles? I thought she was YA?!

Gena is very lovely with her new outfit and hairstyle. It is so so sad that Steve will have to go before he sees his grandkid, at least he got to enjoy some time with his son. :(

Steve was one of my favorite spouses.  I was so sad to see him go  :'(

I'm with butterfly on this one. For both. Though, why does Gena have Wrinkles? I thought she was YA?!

Gena got hit by an aging bug.  She aged up into an Adult literally seconds after moving into the household.  That bug turned out to be very helpful in the end, giving me an extra space in the household sooner rather than later to bring in the final heir.

Chapter 31- Paging Dr. Ori

Before I knew it, it was time for my Elder birthday.

I was pretty excited because I knew that today I was going to become immortal.

Here's my new outfit:

I look pretty much the same, just a few more wrinkles :)

After my birthday, I went upstairs to the art studio to take care of my final requirement, my museum pieces.

Grandma Rena painted a masterpiece for my Elder portrait.

Then, it was back down to the kitchen to eat some freshly prepared Ambrosia, courtesy of Grandma H.

I did it.  I was immortal.

Grandma H was so happy.  She gave me the post-Ambrosia present of a deathflower to symbolize my immortality.

She then reminded me that it was time to pass things on to Ori because I was done.

Bowing out,

Mizu Sakura

Greetings everyone!  My name is Ori, which is short for Oriibuiro.  I love all things supernatural, so living in a family that defies the laws of physics, life, or what have you is pretty awesome.  The best part was, I was going to become immortal too!  But before I could do that, I had some requirements to complete.  One of those requirements was to supermax a chosen skill, which in my case, was Alchemy.  One of my skill challenges is to throw 50 elixirs at people.  When you live in a household full of people that could not leave, that challenge was pretty easy.  Dont' worry-those were all vials of bliss.

I threw my 50th elixir at Grandma Rena and I completed my Lifetime Wish and a skill challenge all in one toss!

After completing two requirements in one shot, I took a well deserved break in the hot tub with my gorgeous wife, Gena.

We started a fun new tradition in the household: Pizza Fridays!  It's perfect because pizza is awesome and so are Fridays.

I guess I'll end my first journal entry with a shot of my Mom.  She decided that dumpster diving would be a fun activity.  My nose said otherwise...

Why Mizu went dumpster diving, I have no idea  ::)

Mizu? Dumpster Diving? Wow. Though I can't blame her, it's fun. Congratulations on your overall (insert number here, because I've stopped counting) immortal.

I lost count too :)  When I was typing this, I actually mislabeled Mizu as the sixth immortal and not as the fifth.  Whoops!

Chapter 32- Steve's Final Gift

Ori here!  I got an opportunity to collect some scarabs in Egypt, so Gena and I took a quick trip to Al Simhara.

Since we had a few days of vacation, I decided to do some adventuring.  Grandma ChaCha said it was genetic.

But I did end up doing what I came here for: collecting scarab bugs.

Once I collected all of the scarabs, Gena and I had some fun together  ;)

Unfortunately, being from such a famous family, the papparazzi watched us the entire time...how embarassing...

Back at home, the Elders were up to their usual shenanigans.  Grandma Rena picked up some drumsticks and starting learning to play the drums.

She has a fierce drumming face.

Dad had a lot of free time since he became an astronaut.  He spent a lot of it working on his skills and helping around the house.  Dad had started helping out Grandma H and Grandpa DD in the garden.  He maxed his Gardening skill and then went upstairs to the third floor to continue his work on this Charisma skill.  Dad barely managed to say any words when it happened.

We all heard Mom calling for us from the bathroom, so we all came up to see what the problem was.  I had no idea that anything had happened to Dad, as apparent by my expression and thoughts.

Those thoughts quickly changed when Mom told me what happened.  I did my best to console her.

And Gena did her best to console me.

We knew it was inevitable.  As a doctor, I knew that it was going to happen eventually.  But that doesn't make it any easier.  Goodbye, Dad.  We all miss you.

A note from Mizuiro Sakura,

Steve.  You were my better half and best friend.  My sparring partner.  I knew that this day would come eventually, but that doesn't make this any easier.  You gave Ori a tremendous gift though, with your passing.  Now Ori and Gena can have a daughter.  You always did so much for our family and this final gift from you will not be in vain.  Grandma H assures me that we will be together again someday and I can only hope that she is right.  I miss you so much.  We've been friends since grade school so it's strange not having you around anymore.  Grandpa DD told me that it's not easy to lose someone you've been so close to throughout the years, but also that you are not truly gone; I can see you when you come to visit me just like when Grandma Sunny comes to visit Grandpa DD.  I will take whatever I can get and will be waiting for you.  Don't make me wait too long, Steve, or I will have to kick your ghostly butt!  Love you always, Mizu

RIP Steve Sakura, aged 94

Things were kind of quiet around the house after Dad's passing.  I worked on my Logic skill.

And then joined the household fad of learning instruments.  Here I am learning the bass.

Mom reminded me that Dad leaving us gave Gena and me the ultimate gift: the opportunity to have a child.  I talked to Gena about it.  She knew that it was important for us to have a daughter, and it was especially important now since Gena was getting close to being an Elder.  Dad timed everything perfectly and we took advantage of Dad's final gift.

Gena started to not feel very well, which, as a doctor, I took as a good sign.  I quickly ran to the grocery store and picked up a ton of watermelon for Gena.  We absolutely needed to have a daughter.  The dynasty rested on our little girl's shoulders.

We decided to enjoy some of the remaining time left between just the two of us because with any luck, it was soon be the three of us.

It was confirmed.  Gena did the magical spin while I was asleep one night.  Generation 7 was on the way!

Of course the good news didn't make the nausea go away.

The happiness of the incoming nooboo was overshadowed by sadness of the fact that Dad sacrificed himself to make this happen.  I also knew that Gena would need to make the same sacrifice in the years to come for our daughter to do her part and bring in the final heir.  But I'm getting WAY ahead of myself.  Right now, I was just happy to know that I was going to be a Dad.

My favorite requirement, my future daughter, would be here soon.  But in the meantime, I couldn't help but think about all the wonderful things she may want to do with her life as a part of this dynasty.

So, I may or may not be working on a lifestates dynasty for a hall of fame attempt as The Sims 3 winds down....and there may or may not be a story attached...just saying  ;D

Steve could not have timed it any better.  Gena had maybe like 7-9 days left before she was going to age up to Elder.  I kept thinking "Okay, Steve, I love you but need to go die now," and then he went upstairs to the bathroom and died  :'(  I was getting nervous because Generation 5's spouse from my original dynasty lived to be 112.  The timing of his death is another reason why Steve is one of my favorite dynasty spouses.

Thanks, butterfly!  I actually finished my Founder's requirements last night, which is where I wanted to at least be before I posted the story.  I'm hoping to have the story posted this week, but that's up in the air since classes resume for me this week...and I still have to decide some info about the prologue/chapter 1.  Soon, I promise  ;D

Chapter 33- Terror and Pink Peaches

What caused me to make these faces of anguish and terror?  I'm getting ahead of myself.  Let's go back a bit...

Though I had already suspected, Gena told me the next morning that she and I were going to be parents.  I was so happy!!

Gena and I told the rest of the family.  Ghosty Grandpa Marcos congratulated me by whacking me upside the side of the head with a pillow.

How this was even possible, I have no idea.  He hits pretty hard for a old ghost guy.

Since Gena was on maternity leave, she wished to learn to garden.  Grandma H and Grandpa DD were pretty happy to have an extra hand in the garden.  Gena picked up the skill in no time.

The days flew by and before we knew it, it was time for our daughter to arrive.  That brings me back to this face.

The cause?

The moment Gena told me that it was time, I panicked.  All of my med school classes?  Poof, gone.  I did eventually managed to pull it together and take Gena to the hospital.  I am very proud to present my precious little princess, Momoiro Sakura (momoiro is a pinkish/peach color.  Fun fact- momo means peach!).  We've decided to call her Mo for short.  She is Friendly and Excitable.

With our new addition, we had to renovate one of the empty rooms on the third floor.

Mo is just such a sweet little girl.

Mom is always spending time with her.  She knows how precious Mo is because of what she had to give up to have her here.

We did need to put up a turnstyle after a bit though since the Grandparents would tend to fight over who got to play with/snuggle/feed/change/any other interaction with Mo next.

We didn't know this at the time, but Dad came to visit us.  His first order of business was to see sweet little Mo.  He may not be with her in person but he is always watching, in spirit.  Literally.

I don't know how she does it, but Grandma Rena beat everyone to Mo (again) and brought her to the cake.

We were all so excited to see who Mo would resemble most.

And she is a miniature me!  (I SOOOO wanted Gena's hair and Ori's blue eyes...darn you, Blaine and your red hair...)

Mo had this amazing ability to make everyone around her smile.  She was the light of everyone's life and the apple...er, peach of everyone's eye.

And how could she not be with that adorable little face?  My girl was a star for sure!

I noticed that too.  Mo is oh so very pink  :o

Chapter 34- Little Pink Princess

Grandma Rena began working on Mo's museum pieces.

When she was done, I whisked my daughter off to do some important things with her.

What a sweet little peach!

I started teaching Mo to talk.

She didn't seem too interested though.

Mo did love hearing about movies and stars, however.

Mission teach Mo to talk: complete.  Mission play xylophone: in progress.

Grandma ChaCha did make sure to start to tell Mo about the dynasty early on.  Mo had some special requirements and we didn't just want to drop them on her when she was older.  We all wanted her to be prepared.

What we were not prepared for was Gena's birthday.  Her Elder birthday came way too fast for our liking.

She still looks as lovely as the day we met.

Now that she was an Elder, Gena made sure to spend a lot of time with Mo...when she could sneak her away from the other Elders, that is.

My eyes crossed from all of the cuteness of my little pink princess.

Or maybe because it was my birthday...

I still look good in my scrubs  ;)

I posted the prologue of my new Lifestates story, Rigel Duty, over on the Lifestates Dynasty board.  Hope you enjoy it  ;D

Loved the bit with his eyes crossing.

Elders! *pulls out a whacking ruler* Let Gena have some time with her baby! She is gonna die in the next few chapters, so let her have some time with her daughter.

That's a really good guess.  She will be famous, just not a musician  ;)

Right on  ;D

I forgot to mention about 100 views ago that we reached 2500+ views!  Thank you to everyone who reads and to everyone who reviews/comments.  Here's to the next 2500 views :)

Chapter 35- Keeping Up with the Elders

After my birthday and after I put my hat back on, Grandma Rena met me upstairs to take care my next set of museum pieces.

I went to work the following week and managed to get my final promotion.  I was now a World Renowned Surgeon!

I was pretty happy to say the least.

Back at home, everyone was up to their usual routine of fighting over who would play with Mo.  Grandma H won this round.  I'm kind of glad I'm at work when all of this happens so I don't have to witness the elder smackdown.  That's got to be pretty scary.

But then again, I get it.  This face is totally worth it.

As Mo's toddler days come to a close, I want to spam everyone with some final shots of her utter cuteness.

In other news, our pizza delivery girl this past weekend was insane.

Back to what is really important: Mo!  Bright and early Sunday morning, Grandma Rena brought my little princess to the cake.

Mo smiled and twirled as the sparkles hit...

...and aged up into a beautiful little girl.

Mo's bedroom also got a makeover, one fit for a princess.

Mo, like Grandma ChaCha, decided to strike a dramatic pose for her sculpture.

While Grandma Rena worked on her pieces, I took the opportunity to tutor Mo so she would get a good start in school.

Mo did get a chance to have some fun before the weekend ended.  She and my Mom had some fun playing tag around the backyard.

Mo learned a valuable lesson that day: never underestimate the power (and speed) of her Elders.

Now that she was also an Elder, Gena knew that time was of the essence.  She made sure to work on maxing her Charisma skill over the weekend so she could work toward getting her final promotions to become a Star News Anchor, thus completing her Lifetime Wish.

Despite all of the craziness in the house, we were all happy to see who finally came to visit us for the first time: Grandpa Blaine.

After dinner one evening, I was helping to clean up some of the empty dishes and happened to overhear Grandma H and Grandma Rena talking about what would happen at the end of the dynasty.  They were mumbling about some plan that Grandma H had but they quickly shooed me out of the room before I could hear anymore of it.  I wonder what they're up to...

I decided to post this chapter a day early because I'm out of town all day tomorrow.  Enjoy the early posting :)

O.K. my now generationally bedroom scan. Commencing Scan.... Scan Complete. There is a laptop in her room. She is going to be famous, just not as a musician. She shall become a bestselling author, won't she? *smirks* I might be wrong, but I'm pretty confident in my abilities.

Whaat?! Gena listened to me! I'm magical!
