Congratulations on generation 3's (?) heiress being born.

Thanks Genie!  ID's can get pretty confusing with the whole generation versus heir thing.  Let's see...*checks notes*...ChaCha is generation 4, so she is the halfway point of the dynasty.  She, if you do not count Haiiro, would be the 3rd Heir.  But in the end, she is/will be my fourth immortal.  And another interesting tidbit, ChaCha would be the 12th Sakura immortal of all time.

I lovee the name Cha Cha, it cracked me up. She stunning, too, but I'm kinda sad she didn't get those awesome eyes :(
The house looks amazing, especially the hot tub. :)

Thanks Butterfly!  I love ChaCha.  She is such a character and will definitely live up to her name.  My sister said that ChaCha is her favorite out of all my heirs, including the ones that haven't arrived in the game yet.

Wow Hiller has some strong genes! The guy in the bot suit cracked me up, is one of the things I like about the sims, they can be totally ridiculous.

Thanks, CeresIn!  I was really surprised when that guy showed up at ChaCha's bday party!  He just kind of stood in front of the one door to the kitchen and didn't really do anything.  It was an entertaining party to say the least.
As for Hiller's genes, you will not be disappointed with the next generation's looks.  I will leave it at that  ;)

Chairo is adorable and I love your home redo!

Thanks, Lisa!  I am actually pretty happy with how this house turned out.  The only thing that I would do differently is add more stairs because it is not a pretty sight to watch six elders and six ghosts all fight to go up the same staircase to then fight over some rocking chairs  ::)

Chapter 13- The Discovery

My sweet little ChaCha...her adorable little face says it all, really.

Mom and Dad took care of ChaCha's museum pieces while Grandpa Hiller hung out in ChaCha's room.  Did anyone else notice how the stone thinker statue in the art studio sort of resembles Grandpa Hiller?

While her pieces were being completed, ChaCha was taught to talk by Sunny.  Sunny was sure to tell her all about the Dynasty.

(Author's Note: Here is the moment that I discovered the tab key, hence the chapter title.  I never really took pictures past the original Sims, so...yeah.  The tab key.  Awesome invention  ;D  Now back to your regularly scheduled program, as told by DD.)

ChaCha quickly learned all of her toddler skills.  She was a genius, after all.

There is something wrong with our garden.  All Elders should be forced to stay away from it when they pass the age of 90 because they may never return.

Like my Grandpa, no one wanted Dad to leave us.  But Dad was okay with it.  He shook Grim's hand and then disappeared.

Mom locked herself in the art studio after my Dad passed.  She sculpted a display stand for his urn, just like she did for Grandpa.  This one hurt way more, though.

Especially with the thought of her recently obtained status of immortality hanging above her head.

Rest in Peace, Dad.  We will always love you.

A note from Rena Sakura

DD saw that my Mom had written a special note to my Dad when he passed, so he thought it would be nice if I had that same opportunity.  I am at a loss for words.  You were still so young and vibrant, Marcos, even if just at heart.  I miss you so much.  Mom tells me that it will be only a matter of time until we are together again, and I sincerely hope that she is right and one day we will be back together.  In the meantime, I will continue my role of artist for the family to pass the time until the day you come visit me like Dad visits Mom.  Ghost or not, I am already looking forward to seeing you again and will be waiting patiently until you are back in my arms.  You are and always will be my better half, Marcos, and I will always love you.  I miss you so much but can smile when I see DD because he looks just like you and is a reminder of the love you and I will always share.  You were a tremendous father and grandfather, even if you didn't get to be a doting grandpa for too long.  We will carry on and make you proud.  Eternally yours, Rena

RIP Marcos Sakura, aged 92.

Time went by kind of slowly over the next few days.  We all took turns spending time spoiling ChaCha to forget about things for a while.  I also worked on my requirements.  I went to City Hall to purchase the local saloon.  I bought it for my building requirement and also as part of Sunny's LTW of Master Mixologist (part of the wish is to own a bar).  Now that is what I call multi-tasking!

Some people may find it weird or disturbing to have ghosts roaming around the house, but not us.  We like our ghosts.  Grandpa is a very helpful ghost.  He cooks for us sometimes and usually keeps and eye on ChaCha in her room when he's using the rocking chair.

With Sunny's maternity leave over, she started working on her Logic skill.  She wanted to get a few points in before her next promotion.

With ChaCha's next birthday right around the corner, I wanted to get in a little bit more play time with her.  It is the...ATTACK OF THE CLAW!

We had a special visitor one night.

Mom was so happy.  They flirted, hugged, kissed, and pretty much acted like they had never been apart.  I was so happy to see Mom so happy.  Ghost or not, Dad and Mom are still very much in love.

The next morning, Mom still had a bright smile on her face as she brought ChaCha to the cake.

The sparkles started to swirl around her...

...and ChaCha was suddenly a big girl!

After her party, we redid ChaCha's room.  Sunny and I put a special birthday present in there for her.  I spy with my little eye, something that will be ChaCha's supermax skill  ;)

Then it was to the art studio for ChaCha for some museum pieces made by her Grandma.

We're getting close to 1000 views, so if there are any other suggestions for what Haiiro will be making, get them in now!  Right now it is a tie between Stuffed Turkey and Key Lime Pie.

Oh, I see the Street Art Bag thing-a-magig. I don't see that as a supermax very often, the Street Art Skill. And, Key Lime Pie For The Win!

Well done!  You must have the perceptive trait  ;)

R.I.P. Marcos :'( ChaCha( I love that name!!) is adorable! Key Lime Pie team over here :'(

ChaCha will be aging up soon so you can see even more of her personality.  She was so fun to play with!

Chapter 14- Attack of the Elders

ChaCha couldn't begin working on her supermax skill until she grew up, so she got to spending most of her childhood playing and having fun.

Of course, when your Mom works at your school and your Dad is a scientist, homework was always done first!  ChaCha had lots of help with her assignments whenever she needed it.

I grew up with only one set of grandparents.  ChaCha is growing up with two sets.  I should consider myself lucky because I didn't have to suffer the "attack of the elders," as ChaCha calls it.

The torture never ceases...

Sunny's and my birthday rolled around again and Sunny volunteered to go up to the cake first.  She still got a kick out of the whole birthday thing!

I decided to skip the actual going to the cake action and just age up in my swim trunks after eating some of Sunny's birthday cake.

Still pretty good looking, if I do say so myself.

ChaCha's birthday followed ours.

Seeing as my daughter was about to become a teenager, that devious smirk made me nervous...

And rightfully so because ChaCha gained the Rebellious trait.  I swear I heard her mumbling something about it's because of the attack of the elders?

As always, a birthday also means a trip to the art studio with my Mom.

Museum pieces done, ChaCha headed outside to take up her new skill, Street Art.  We have a large enough property that she could have her own little plot of land to decorate, just like I have my own plot of land to fish on.

Speaking of me, I maxed the gardening skill.

ChaCha took a brief break from spray painting and hit the waterslide.

But then it was back to the spray can to add some more works of art to the backyard.

Sunny and I weren't too overly thrilled about ChaCha's wish for a motorcycle.  However, ChaCha was still a really good girl.  She would always come home from school and start right away on her homework, even without being asked.

We thought about it and realized if wanting a motorcycle was the extent of her rebellion, a motorcycle it is!

Even though she had her brand new motorcycle, ChaCha took the limo to her prom.  She kept the Sakura tradition going strong and was voted Prom Queen.  However...she did get into a fight when she saw someone wearing the same outfit.  Extra chores for a week, young lady!

In other news, I completed my lifetime wish!  I am now a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder.  One more requirement checked off of my list!  Now I just one more promotion and I will be in good position to become immortal when I reach Elder.

Punishment over, ChaCha resumed her street art and even managed to complete one of her skill challenges.  Here is a shot of some of her beautiful work.

It looks like Key Lime Pie is going to be the winner for the 1000 views dish!  Sorry Stuffed Turkey, maybe next time.

On another note, I've been trying to post pretty regularly every other day, but the next update might be a bit late because this weekend is a bit hectic.  My sister and I are visiting our Aunt and Uncle on Wed/Thurs and then our Mom is having minor surgery on Friday.  Then, there is a carnival this weekend that I am going to to take pictures for my job (I work for a newspaper).  So crazy busy weekend for me  ::)

I see where ChaCha is coming from on "Attack of the Elders" that's the one downside of an immortal dynasty, at least for the kiddos. And yay Key Lime Pie!

auctally, no, in my family, I have always been the least perceptive, though about now, I am getting better at stuff like this. But thank you.

I want a motorcycle!!! I'm so jealous of ChaCha, it is so cool! If she's having a hard time with all the elders I can only imagine how hard it'll be for other heirs,

Actually, ChaCha was the only one to really suffer the onslaught of the "pinch cheeks" interaction from the elders (unless I missed it with the other generations...).  I thought it was a pretty good way to tie in her rebellious trait in any case :)

Chapter 15- ChaCha Meets Her Match

ChaCha had quite a few friends in school that she had over the house from time to time.  There was one friend in particular that we saw a few times.  His name was Blaine Willoughby.

Grandma, Mom, Sunny and I all crowded around one of the windows and pasted our faces against the glass to see exactly what ChaCha and Blaine were up to.  We soon understood why they were spending so much time together.

Even though she was rebellious, ChaCha cut their date short and told Blaine that she'd meet up with him over the weekend.  He agreed.  When they got together, ChaCha had a very important question for Blaine.

ChaCha and Blaine were now a couple!  My little girl's growing up...

Grandma invited ChaCha and Blaine to come to the Bistro for a special dinner whenever they wanted.  They decided to take her up on her offer.  Blaine decided to surprise ChaCha with some flowers.  Good start because my daughter deserves to be treated like a queen!

ChaCha seemed pretty happy, which is all that matters.

In other news, Dad is coming around a lot more now.  He's even started leaving us freshly cooked meals, just like Grandpa does.

Another weekend, another date.  Blaine was a gentleman and surprised ChaCha with another bouquet of flowers.

ChaCha told us the date went well (Grandma told us the same thing since she keeps an eye on them whenever they visit the Bistro  ;)) and was having a good time with him.  She didn't let her romance get in the way of her Dynasty requirements though.  Bright and early the next morning, ChaCha was out back spray painting the yard.

ChaCha's teenage years went by quickly, just like if she was riding her motorcycle.  She stepped up to the cake, ready to grow up.  None of us were ready for that though!

ChaCha: "Rockin' the cat sweater!"  Sunny just thought it was hilarious.

ChaCha decided not to continue wearing the cat sweater and opted for something more her style.

And, as per birthday tradition, it was up to the art studio for some new museum pieces.  ChaCha posed with style.  None of us expected anything less.

The next day was ChaCha's graduation.  She, just like my Mom, was Class Valedictorian and was voted Most Artistic by her classmates.

That evening, ChaCha was celebrating another important event besides her graduation.  She found out that Blaine had aged up too.

ChaCha was always a very straightforward person.  When Blaine arrived at the house, she wasted no time making her intentions clear about their relationship.

He said yes!  Smart guy  ;)

Blaine moved into the house that night.  His first order of business was to have his portrait and sculpture done to be put into our family museum.

Then, ChaCha and Sunny dragged him to the dresser to get a new wardrobe and new hairdo.

All I can say is welcome to the family, Blaine!

Whoa, Blaine is a hottie, he and ChaCha make a great couple, abd hopefully a beautifull nooboo! :D

I was very pleased when I gave Blaine his makeover!  I mean, he was handsome beforehand, but after, wow.  The nooboo won't be here for a couple of chapters, but I absolutely adore the next generation.  Gen. 5 is one of my favorites in this dynasty  :D

Chapter 16- ChaCha Takes the Stage

Blaine aspired to go into the Political career, so one of the first things he did after settling in the house was apply for a job at City Hall.

Blaine then began working on his Charisma for his new job.  He was naturally charismatic, so he picked it up immediately.  Grandpa Hiller didn't seem too interested by whatever he was saying though.  Hopefully that wasn't a campaign speech!  In addition to Charismatic, Blaine was also Family Oriented, a Light Sleeper, a Hopeless Romantic, and Inappropriate.  His Lifetime Wish was Golden Tongue, Golden Fingers.

With all of the excitement going on in the house, Sunny's birthday managed to sneak up on us.  Sunny aged up after dinner one night.

I cheered for my wife...

...until I realized that it was my birthday too.

I was happy to see Grandpa Hiller came to celebrate with me.

Here I am, wrinkles and all.

And here's Sunny, just as beautiful as ever.

Now that I was an Elder, I was ready to become immortal.  As a scientist, I was so excited for this moment because I wanted to experience this momentous scientific occasion for myself.  I also was ready to do this for my family.  Grandma cooked me a fresh plate of Ambrosia and I sat down at the table to taste this divine meal.

It was such a strange sensation.  The taste and the smell of the food and the feeling of immortality.  As soon I as was finished, I was ready to run to the lab and write up a whole bunch of reports about the whole experience.  Articles in scientific journals, here I come!

Grandma had one more present me for me before my time as heir was over.  She gave me a deathflower as a symbol of my immortality.

And with that, it was time for me to turn over the notebook to my daughter.  She has a long life ahead of her and I'm sure she will have plenty of fun thoughts and experiences to share on her way to her own immortality.

Signing off,

DD Sakura

Hey!  I am Chairo Sakura but I prefer my nickname, ChaCha.  It is a fun and upbeat nickname, perfect for a fun and upbeat person like myself!  So, apparently, my family is apart of this thing called an Immortal Dynasty.  My two Grandma's are immortal and my Dad just became immortal on his birthday.  That being said, I'm next in line.  I wasn't too sure how I felt about the whole rules and regulations part of the dynasty.  I never was one to follow the rules.  I prefer to do things my way, which is always the best way  ;)  I guess you could say I'm rebellious, but I like to say that I'm more of an innovator.  If I've got to do this whole dynasty thing, I might as well have fun doing it, right?  I have to admit that part of my reason for obeying all the rules and regulations actually comes from them.  My Grandma H recited the poem to me numerous times growing up.  The part that really resonated with me was the part of about the 4th Heir:

Heir 2 to Heir 3, Heir 3 to Heir 4
The Dynasty is halfway there, awaiting four more
Heir 4 to Heir 5, Heir 5 to Heir 6
The finish line is in sight, so be sure no one quits
Or the lives lost and and sacrifices made by countless names
Will count for nothing and all be in vain

Be sure no one quits.  Now that always sounded like a challenge to me.  And I never backed down from a good challenge.  I was going to do it.  I was going to become immortal.  And I was going to do it the ChaCha way.  Starting off, here is my collection of ground murals for my Supermax.

I was a bit of a celebrity in the Rebel group.  In fact, they liked me so much that I was offered a job as an Art Appraiser.  Of course I said yes.  That job was too awesome for words!  On my first day, I was so close to getting a promotion, but missed out by a tiny sliver.  I wasn't going to settle for another day at this level, so I called my boss over and asked her for a promotion.

She was a smart woman because she said yes.  I was pretty happy with my new job title and headed off to bed with my gorgeous hunk of a fiancé.  We planned to get married this weekend after he and I got in some time at our jobs.  Blaine and I were pretty excited to have our wedding coming up.

As a part of my job, I got a fancy new art scanner.  Between Grandma Rena's and my art, I had enough art to scan for quite a few days.

With wedding bells in the air, everyone was feeling the excitement.  Mom and Dad were also feeling the romance too.

Our wedding day arrived and everything was perfect.  Except for the fact that Blaine had been on the water slide before the wedding and decided to get married in his swim trunks.  But I loved him, so I forgave him.  Plus, he looked pretty darn good in those shorts too.

Mom, as a Master Mixologist, fixed up some drinks for Blaine and me after the wedding.  She and Dad both wanted grandchildren immediately after the wedding (they both rolled the Become a Grandparent wish as soon as we said "I do") so she concocted some Romantic Drinks for us.  Blaine and I didn't know that, so we thought that it was just some celebratory nectar.  It did seem to have an effect on us though, as we were suddenly thinking about kids too...

I'm making you wait one more chapter to meet Gen. 5  ::)  He/She is worth it, I promise.

Congratulations on a new immortal and a wedding! Wow you are about to reach the fifth generation, I'm still on the second :)

I'm actually a lot further in game, which is why I can post so regularly.  Gen. 8 just aged up to a child.  The finish line is in sight!

Second generation is a great start!  You'll be halfway there before you know it  ;)

Chapter 17- Honeymoon in France

Blaine and I took a trip to Champs Les Sims for our honeymoon.  Even though it was supposed to be our honeymoon, we talked about it and agreed to bring my Mom and Dad along.  Dad had told me how Mom had gotten to a Level 2 Visa during her last trip and wanted to try and complete it by getting to Level 3.  I said sure, why not?  Mom said that if all went well, there might be a surprise for us.  Sounds good to me!

While waiting for some missions from the locals, Mom worked on some nectar making.

Blaine and I, meanwhile, spent some quality time together.  Apparently, those Romantic Drinks my Mom made were still having an effect on us because our conversation seemed oddly focused on one subject...

Mom finally got some missions and she was off to finish her Visa!

But that didn't mean she and my Dad didn't get to spend some quality time together too.

Mom finished her Visa and told Blaine and me that she had a special wedding present for us and for future generations: our own private villa!  Best.  Gift.  Ever.

Our honeymoon went by way too fast, if you ask me, because before we knew it, we were back on the plane to Appoloosa Plains.  One good thing that came out of our trip home was that I completed my supermax!

I always had an idea where I get my spirit and spunk from: my Mom.  The hubby and I had some friends over the house one night and we caught a glimpse of my Mom pranking one of them by stealing his clothes while he was in the hot tub.  Now THAT is funny.

On the subject of Mom, she got her final promotion and was the top educator in Appoloosa Plains.  She also was awarded the Teacher of the Year award once.  While she enjoyed her time there, she decided to retire after her last promotion.  Mom said that if she wanted to spend time with any children, it would be her grandchild...

In other news, even though Grandpa Marcos was a ghosty, he and my Grandma Rena still spent a lot of time together.  In fact, they even got the Eternally Faithful moodlet.  In an immortal dynasty, "eternally faithful" has a whole new meaning.

Now that my supermax was complete, I wanted to try something new.  Grandma Rena gave me her guitar to play.

Mom also decided to do something new with all of her free time that she now had since she retired.  She decided to start dabbling around with the potions table out back.  Needless to say, she really got into it.  Literally.

Major skilling all around!  Blaine maxed his Charisma skill.

And I maxed the Logic skill.

And suddenly the time came.  Blaine and I were doing pretty well in our careers and I was pretty set on my requirements, so we decided to try for the next generation.  Notice my amazing bacon and eggs shirt for work.

Were we successful?  Did we hear chimes?  Only time would tell  ;)  I started working on my painting skill in the meantime as part of my job.  I decided to join the Appraiser branch of my career.

I loved watching Grandma H cook.  She always made the best faces.

Generation 5 was on his or her way!

I told Blaine and he was so happy!

I wanted a girl.  Blaine wanted a boy.  Grandma H told me that Moms were 2/2 on guessing the gender.  But I was a rebel, so was I the first to get it wrong?  We'll just have to wait and see!

Oooh, cliffhanger!  Gen. 5 will be making his or her debut in the next chapter, I promise.  Speaking of which, the next chapter may be delayed because Wednesday is my sister's birthday!  Possibly that night I'll be able to post the next chapter but otherwise, it should be up Thursday or so.  Until then, I look forward to reading your comments  ;D

It's gonna be a girl, I can tell. Probably going to be a boy just because I said it was going to be a girl, that's how much I trust my own judgment.
