OMG, those eyes are just perfect, I'm actually kinda glad there were no girls in DD's school

Yeah, it did kind of work out for the best  ;)  Of course, as soon as I made Sunny real, 2 or 3 girls show up in school a few days afterward >_<

Have her make a roast turkey or something next time.

Congrats on the 500 pageviews! And here's to many more. I like this story.

Thanks, Trip!  Unless I get overwhelming votes for something else, roast turkey it is!

Chapter 9- Cloudy Days Follow

DD and Sunny's prom rolled around and they were considered High School royalty.  Sunny was voted Prom Queen and DD was voted Prom King.  They told me that they were called the cutest couple at the dance.

Those of us at home, however, had a less entertaining evening.

I think we were more annoyed at the burglar alarm interrupting us than the burglar panicking on our front lawn.

Sakuras-2, Burglars-0

When the excitement of prom and our late night visitor died down, we all went back into our normal routines.  Dad had gone out to the garden one morning to help Mom tend the money trees.  That's when it happened.

Even though none of us wanted him to, Dad was ready to go.  He lived a long and happy life and got to see his grandson grow up into a fine young man and find the love of his life.  Dad willingly shook Grim's hand and then...he was gone.

It hit Mom the hardest.  Dad was her best friend, her partner in building this Dynasty, and her loving husband.

Rest in Peace, Dad.  We'll all miss you.

A note from Haiiro Sakura

Rena gave me the notebook so I could write a note to my darling Hiller.  What do I say to a man who did so much for this Dynasty?  You have been with me for so long, it feels so strange not having you next to me.  All of the work you put into buidling up this Dynasty will not be in vain; we will succeed, and it will be in your honor.  You were the heart and soul of this family, and you were my heart and soul.  While the others may believe you are gone forever, I know that it is only a matter of time until we are back together.  I have seen it firsthand, so I know it is true, not just a tale to ease a broken heart.  Until we can be together again, Hiller, I will smile when I think of all the good times we had together.  Rest in peace, my darling Hiller.  Love always, Haiiro

RIP Hiller Sakura, aged 115.

We all buried ourselves in some activity to keep ourselves busy and forget about the heartache for awhile.  Mom took DD out to learn how to drive.

Marcos volunteered to teach Sunny.

I miss our Supermaid who could clean through the walls...

Once he got his learner's permit, DD would often drive out to Cinnamon Crest Falls to go fishing, just like he did with his grandfather.

We decided to make him his own fishing pond out back.  Mom filled it with all of the fish that Dad had caught before he died, so he and DD, in a way, could go fishing together again.

DD was pretty happy.

Sunny started helping Mom in the kitchen.  She was pretty happy to have some extra hands around the kitchen since DD and I were not allowed to do any cooking.

With all that had been going on, Marcos' birthday snuck up on us.  He decided to celebrate after dinner one evening.

He then realized that it was his Elder birthday and his smile immediately faded.

I heard him squeal something along the lines of "I have wrinkles!" before running out of the room to the dresser.

I assured him I still loved him, wrinkles and all.

Unbeknownst to us one night, we had a visitor and it wasn't a burglar this time.

Whoever it was, Mom woke up very happy the next morning.

I really enjoy your dynasty. The decor of the house is very nice, by the way. And Macos is a very handsome Elder, so he did not have to worry about the wrinkles.

Hiller was loved by his family, for sure.  I think practically everyone rolled a wish to resurrect Hiller after he died.  He is a very helpful ghost, though.  He constantly cooks things at night and leaves the meals on the counter for everyone in the morning  :)

Thanks, CeresIn!  I never really got into building after the controls were changed from the original Sims to the Sims 2, but decided to give it a try for this story.  And Marcos is still quite handsome, but that photo I got of him aging up made him look like he wasn't too pleased!

Thanks, Geniequeen!  I actually came up with the verse about the seventh heir, which will be posted waaaay later on, during my first ID attempt.  When I decided to do this story, I came up with the rest.  I don't write poety too often (I'm more of a mystery/suspense/thriller writer) but I was pretty happy with how this came out.  And, for the next meal, it is a tie between stuffed turkey and key lime pie...can't wait to see which one wins!

Chapter 10- Birthdays x 3

Sunny and DD spent the last days of their teenage years fishing in DD's favorite spot.  (Is the scenery not gorgeous?!)

Sunny was very excited to be having her birthday; this was the very first birthday she ever had since she became real.  That being said, it wasn't very surprising when she volunteered to age up first.

Next up was DD.

And finally, I stepped up to the cake for my Elder birthday.

With age comes wisdom, or so the saying goes, and I suddenly understood why Marcos ran squealing from the room when he reached Elder.  To the dresser!

Young Adult Sunny:

Young Adult DD:

And me, as an Elder:

(Gah!  She blinked again!)

As a birthday present, we set up all of the broken items that we had collected throughout the dynasty so far.  DD got right to work on his supermax, which would be the Mechanical skill.

He had two skill challenges completed by the end of his birthday.

DD, Sunny and I all had taken a trip to the art studio where Marcos took care of our museum pieces.

The following day, we had more celebrating to do because DD and Sunny graduated from High School!  DD was the Valedictorian and voted most likely to be mediocre.  Interesting choice by his classmates for sure.

Sunny graduated with High Honors and was voted most likely to be a millionaire.  That was bound to happen in this dynasty!

Sunny and DD also redid their bedroom that evening.  It was still as colorful as before.

And their romance was still as strong as before.

We all knew that this was going to happen eventually, but were kind of surprised when we saw that it was Sunny that went down on her knee and proposed to DD.

He said yes!

I had to make Sunny propose because of her Inappropriate trait, but all's well that ends, right?   ;)  I also decided to change up DD's supermax when he aged up to YA.  I had initially planned to have fishing be his skill (hence all of the fishing photos) but I didn't want him to be a self employed fisherman like his ancestor Orenji because I ran out of things for her to do after a while besides fishing because she didn't have a job to go to.  So, Mechanical was moved up as a planned supermax and he got a different career, which will be introduced in the next chapter or two.

Thanks for reading and looking forward to reading your comments!

It is always frustrating when they blink, that's the reason I take several photos in cas.
Hiller ghost's was in important moments, I see... the birthdays and proposal.
And a nooboo soon, that always gives me a smile. :)

Rena has blinked practically every time that I have tried to take a close up of her!  I didn't post the other ones, but decided to go ahead with her Elder one because that's how she's going to look over the next several generations.
I have some pretty active ghosts.  Currently in game, I have 5 ghosts roaming the house.  Hiller is always out, along with two others.  Gen. 4's spouse I've seen once in the house and Gen.5's spouse has been more active lately.  Gen.5's spouse is a good ghostie because he/she (I won't say which  ;) ) just kind of hangs around in the background and sort of keeps an eye on things and doesn't really bother or interact with anyone.  Hiller and the other two are far more active!

Chapter 11- The Day of DD

Now that she was a Young Adult, so many more options opened up for Sunny.  She really wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life because she wanted to do it all.  Ultimately, Sunny decided to become a Master Mixologist because she could work on that throughout her life while she had fun doing other things.

DD had joined the Science career.  He dreamed of becoming a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder, which was his Lifetime Wish.  Sunny wanted to go out and work too.  She decided pretty quickly what she wanted to do for a career.  As a former imaginary friend, there was no better way to be able to play with children all day than to join the Education career.  Sunny was pretty happy, needless to say.

While Sunny and DD were out of the house with their new jobs, Marcos and I continued working on our own LTW's.  At 80 days, Marcos maxed the guitar skill and completed his LTW.

After that, Marcos returned to the art studio to max the sculpting skill, which had been put on hold while he worked toward his LTW.

Sunny and DD wanted to get in a couple days of work before they decided to get married.  At the end of the week, we set up the wedding party and my little boy got married.

Grandpa Hiller was front and center to see Sunny and DD's wedding.

After that, they kindly excused themselves from the rest of the party to celebrate their wedding night in their own way.

While Sunny and DD were off celebrating, I decided to entertain the guests with my guitar.  Good thing I did because I maxed the guitar skill, thus completing my LTW and my final requirement for immortality.

I told my Mom and she congratulated me.  She then went and prepared my first serving of Ambrosia, which she served to me with a proud look on her face.  I sat down and took a bite.  I didn't have to do it alone because my Dad was right there with me, cheering me on.

I did it.  I was now immortal.  It was pretty surreal to say the least.  After my meal, my Mom came over and gave me a special present, a Deathflower, as part of my immortality.

Also as part of my immortality, I was able to pass on this notebook to my son, DD, to let him tell of his experiences and adventures on his own path to immortality.

Goodbye for now,

Rena Sakura

Immortality Reached at Age: 79

Hey there, everyone!  My name is Daidaiiro, but that is such a mouthful, so I go by DD.  So, my Mom reached immortality and it was now my turn to complete my requirements and jot down my life in this notebook here.  My Grandpa Hiller told me all about the whole Immortal Dynasty thing when I was a kid.  I always loved science, so the thought of immortality is fascinating!  I want to learn all about how immortality works and what better way to do it than achieve that status myself?

I guess I'm supposed to record what's going on in my life.  So, here I am in the garden, tending the money trees, life fruit plants, and cheese plants.  Both Grandma and I are working on the Omni Plant chain of opportunities.

Recently I married the love of my life, Sunny, but I'm sure you all already knew that.  But what you didn't know is that we decided to take a little honeymoon after the wedding.  Sunny, a connoisseur of nectar and mixology, thought it would be fun to visit Champs les Sims in France.

She wanted to do everything and go everywhere!  Things are never dull with my wife!  She went and picked up some recipes for my Grandma to add to her collection.

Then she headed to the nectary to learn about nectar making and also pick up some equipment for home.

Where was I?  I was also in the nectary, helping out both Sunny and myself by upgrading some of the nectar makers.  I needed some unique upgrades for my last skill challenge and Sunny could get some better nectar bottles with the upgrades too.

Sunny decided to take on some challenges and quests from the locals.

I decided to spend my time doing something a little less dangerous: fishing.

But Sunny's adventures were not for naught; she reached Visa Level 2 by the end of our honeymoon.  One more trip and we could get a vacation home in France.  How cool would that be?  Here is one last photo from France.  This is of a singer performing in the cemetery.  I question her choice of location...

We were back home before we knew it.  It may look like we did not spend much time together on our honeymoon, but I can assure you, we certainly did.  I finished the last of my upgrades my tinkering with my Grandma's stove.  Supermax?  Check.

Sunny went and worked on her Charisma skill for her job.

But she was interrupted by something...we were going to be parents!  We had both wished to have a child after we came home from our honeymoon, so I guess that wish will be fulfilled pretty quickly!

We told everyone and they were ecstatic!  Mom and Dad told us that it was about time they get some grandnooboos (they both rolled the wish to become a grandparent immediately after we said 'I do'.  I'm serious.  They did.).  Sunny and I talked about our incoming nooboo and we agreed that we both wished for the same gender.  Since we were in agreement, I told Sunny about some medical research that had been done and she went out to the market to get some produce so we could get the son or daughter we both wanted.  Any ideas what we wished for?   ;)

Thanks to you both!  I sometimes forget that in the long run, Rena is really the 10th immortal.  As for the nooboo, I am sad to say it appears that Sunny had no part in making Gen.4 whatsoever  ???

Chapter 12- Cha Cha Cha

I made sure Sunny spent her pregnancy relaxing.  Here she is on the way to the spa one afternoon.

A short time later, we were ready to welcome our daughter into the world.  We rushed to the hospital because my Grandma and Mom were not being very helpful.  You'd think they had never been through this before.

I am proud to introduce my daughter, Chairo Sakura (chairo is brown).  We've decided to call her ChaCha for short.  She is an Artistic Genius.

With the newest member of the Sakura family coming home, we realized that we needed far more space in the house.  So, the house got a much needed facelift.

We added a second floor to get some more room.

The first floor pretty much stayed the same, but we did move some rooms around.

We also added a hot tub, which is pretty awesome.

We expanded the kitchen and dining room.  The old art studio is now the expanded dining room.

Grandma's old bedroom now became the breezeway to the backyard and patio.

And Grandma moved in to Sunny's and my old room.

We added a bathroom upstairs that was pretty much identical to the one downstairs.

The art studio was moved upstairs.

So was the bedroom that Sunny and I shared.

And finally, my sweet little ChaCha's room.  Her favorite color is pink, so we decorated accordingly.

ChaCha had everyone at her beck and call from the moment we brought her home.  My Dad was so happy to be able to see his granddaughter.  He was getting up there in his age, so he was thankful for every moment that he spent with her.

Even though she had nothing but time, my Mom doted over her granddaughter too.

Sunny and I enjoyed parenthood so much.  ChaCha was a wonderful little girl.  The grandparents did give both of us some time off though, which we were pretty happy to take.  Sunny was the first person to try out the new hot tub.

I spent some time fishing and managed to catch my first Deathfish!  Although you can't see it because the graveyard has terrible lighting, I have a huge smile on my face  ;D

Before we knew it, ChaCha's birthday had rolled around.  My Mom brought her to the cake.

The sparkles hit and...

...she is my clone.  ChaCha looks just like me!  Although it would have been pretty nice for my daughter to have gotten some of her mother's beautifully unique features, I was happy to see that Grandpa Hiller's genes were still going strong.

And finally, here is a photo of a party crasher (I swear I didn't invite this guy to my little girl's birthday party...) who showed up in a bot suit and carried a cane...what an interesting fellow...
