Can a sim loose celebrity status all together?

My sim became a 1 start celebrity and I think I would rather her not be one. Can she revert back?

You can go into options and mark "opt household out of celebrity" or something like that, and she'll stop gaining. There might be a cheat or mod that can fix the status, too, but I don't use those, so I can't answer that part.

Yes. I wish I had changed that option before starting. At the time I had done too much other stuff to want to quit without saving. But now she keeps getting publicly disgraced and I don't like it. She shouldn't even be a celebrity. She got the star because she completed an opportunity and the person asking for the produce was a celebrity.

With regards to the publicly disgraced, there are a few options that will fix that. My personal preference is to Moodlet Manager it away, as the relationship hit I usually get is pretty minor and easy to fix.

A quick phone call will usually repair friendships, but that moodlet lasts four days, I think. It doesn't cost much for a one star celebrity to pay off the paparazzi at the business office, so I you don't have enough LTH points for a moodlet manager, try that instead.

Type in 'testingcheatsenabled true' in the cheat console then shift+click the sim. There's an option to set the celebrity level of a sim including 0 stars (not a celebrity).

You press Ctrl+Shift+C. I'm not sure what to press on Mac though.

Wow that worked and it was super easy!!!! And I saw all the other options like putting the sim back in create a sim. I had no idea you could do that! And it was Ctrl+shift+c on the Mac as well.

Will using cheats affect my game any? Thanks you for your help Danielle!

I'm not sure if everyone experiences this, but if I edit a Sim in Create-a-Sim, it usually resets their age, just like getting a tattoo, so watch out for that.

I've also had problems with them losing their LTH rewards after taking them to CAS, like steel bladder just disappeared.

Only the age reset for me. Lucky too because I had bought several rewards already!
