I love the family photo at the end. Nice to see that the girls are not concerned about the light vs dark fae difference and were able to become friends. I hope it stays that way  :D

Next time, on the Steel Legacy~

Love that face Jared!

But in all seriousness, I'm having technical issues, I can rarely play a full in-game day without encountering error 12 when trying to save.  Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Week 6- Fall

With her funds from being promoted to Chef de Cuisine, Molly decided to invest in a garage under the guise of needing a place for her new Motive Mobile, and a secret.  With her new basement, she devised segments for the pictures of her toddlers she had painted...and decided that there was too much room left over.  "I should paint Sandi and Chris too!...and I might as well do my babies again too, they won't be children forever, and these pictures will last at least as long as I do."

Meanwhile, Darina and Chris spent an afternoon bonding.  Darina had expressed an interest in fishing, and Chris still had yet to even max the skill, much Present the Perfect Private Aquarium.  The two had a wonderful time, both able to forget, at least for a little while, the troubles looming on the horizon.

During one of Molly's routine parties, which seemed to be an even mix of fae, witch and mortal, things between Chris and Jared began to come to a head.  It all began innnocently enough with Darina being introduced to the king of her kind, something Molly had hoped to put off until her teen years.  "Darina, isn't it?"
"...yes sir."

Luckily Luella had her sister's back, and preformed her first fairy trick on the kind himself!  "I'm Luella...the little sister.  Isn't that an interesting cloud in the sky...?  Bam, Chattering Teeth!"

The two sisters then took off while Frio was still trying to figure out how he, king of the light, had been tricked by a mere dark fae child.  While he was still trying to figure this out, Chris approached.  "Look, Jared, we need to have a chat."
"I believe we do."
"Your the one who introduced me to Molly.  Why did you help us get together only to try to steal her away from me, and split our family apart!?  You were the first sim I ever helped after becoming a doctor, and I thought we were friends.  Explain yourself!"

Jared yawned, obviously bored despite Chris' outburst.  "It's simple really.  The most important thing to the fae is fertility.  And the king must have a fertile bride, in order to continue their line.  I introduced you to Molly, because I had hoped to keep her out of the way.  Her first child resulted in a mere mortal, I didn't think she would have the power to bring a fae baby into the world.  Meanwhile, my own mortal girlfriend also failed to bring me a fae baby, so I decided to wait until both our daughters had reproduced, in anticipation of there perhaps being a fae grandchild.  But you changed everything when you got Molly pregnant.  Simply put, I need you because you helped bring a light fae baby into our world.  And I need Darina to be my queen."

Chris paled at this confession.  Molly had mentioned how important babies were to the fae, but not in this much detail.  "If it's a matter of fertility, I could help you with treatments!  It's not too late for you to have your own heir, and-"
"Save it Steel, I'm not interested.  If I can't have Molly as my bride, I'll simply wait for Darina.  Now that I know Molly can produce a light heir, either one of them is acceptable.  Your legacy can continue without them, so it's really none of your concern.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I do have a mortal girlfriend to take care of while I wait."

Sandi stepped up to the occasion.  "Hey, Frio, I'm calling Luella back out here.  Clearly your head need to get cooled again!"

Frio didn't take this parting jib well.

The next day brought Chris one step closer to finishing his career with a promotion to Neurosurgeon.  It also brought a warning from an unlikely source, a werewolf by the name of Crumplebottom.  "Frio isn't the only thing you need to watch out for in your legacy.  Take this as a friendly warning mortal: Sunset Valley need a leader to unit the supernatural, to prevent a war from beginning."
"How do you know about-"
"No more questions.  You must make sure you and your heir begin the work necessary to unite this town, before it's too late."

Chris took Agnes' warning to heart, and began to fish again, knowing that it was all over if he couldn't even fulfill his own lifetime wish.  With only a few days remaining until his adult birthday and winter on the way, the pressure was on. But Chris met the challenge with a smile.

Molly was also feeling the heat, with both her cooking skill and career at level nine, she put her nose to the book instead of partying, working late nights and learning new recipes.  She also made time to work on her paintings on her days off, having discovered a passion for painting.

The last day of fall brought the one year anniversary of Molly and Chris' wedding.  Molly finished her current renovations of the basement just in time, though she still kept most of the underground area a secret, at least for now.  The two now had a private love nest to get away from the kids, even if it was scarcely furnished.  The two enjoyed their anniversary, and despite the odds, were very much still in love.

And Molly kept her secret for another time.

P.S
Somehow Michael Bachelor somehow became mer.  I have no idea how or when that happened.  Beau Andrews too. His wife Victoria is a witch, as is Fiona.  Supernatural selection can be funny.

Week 7- Winter

With only a few days remaining until Sandi and Chris' shared birthdays, Molly was feeling the gloom.  Her baby was about to become an adult, and was already planning both graduation and a potential wedding.  Chris would be the same age as her, and that much closer to aging past her into the grave.  The triplets would also be aging up before spring, leaving her the only one to not have a birthday this season.  She tried to content herself with thoughts of birthday parties and the new paintings she would be able to craft, but found herself drifting off into space instead on more then one occasion.  Sometimes literally.

Chris tried to keep on fishing, but the weather wasn't kind to him.

Little Luella tried to help random people by warming them up.  Some of them even appreciated her efforts.

School was cancelled for the entire week due to the snow, and soon enough Sandi found herself graduating as class Valedictorian, and was voted the Most Likely To Burn Down Their Own House.  She received a promotion on her birthday to full-time film, and found herself becoming quite the Diva.  She certainly grew into a beautiful woman.

During graduation Jocasta formally introduced herself to Molly, giving her blessing for the union of their children.

Bella graduated the same day as Sandi, and with a little nudging from her BFF, finally made her move on Mortimor.

Sandi invited both Micheal and Bella to move in, and they gladly accepted.  "I'm so happy you graduated!  The rest of our lives start tomorrow."

Little did anyone know Bella was both crazy and a supernatural fan.  Though with a werewolf father, fae mother and mer brother, who can blame her?

Sandi demonstrated extreme speech practice.

Christopher aged up shortly afterwards, and entered into a midlife crisis, with all three potential heirs watching.

Time moved on, and the day arrived for the triplets to enter into teendom.
First was Darina, who became a genius in accordance with her father's wish.

Next came Luella. She cemented her fate and became Brave, in order to better protect her sister.

Ekene made it to a cake this time and showed everyone that he was Ambitious, though he had already known for a while.  After all, he had put his plan into motion days ago, and would reveal it in due time.

Meanwhile, Molly was promoted to 5-star Chef.

And Darina took her destiny into her own hands when Sam Sekemoto agreed to go to prom with her after a single date.

With a full house, spring would require many changes.  Each of the potential heirs had their own plan to thwart Jared Frio, and would reveal it to their parents once they came to fruition.  After maxing his hunting skill, Shilo took his clone voucher to the science facility and made his own son.  Next season an heir will be announced.  Will it be Light Fae Darina, Dark Fae Luella or Human Ekene?

(From left to right: Micheal Bachelor, Bella Bachelor, Sandi french, Molly Steel, Christopher Steel, Ekene Steel, Luella Steel, Darina Steel.  In front Shilo and Shilo II)
P.S
Sandi's classmates voted her to be Most Likely To Burn Down Their Own House.  It was prophetic.  Unfortunately, a crash caused it not to happen in the save that currently exists.

Sandi is gorgeous! That dress really suits her.
She actually aged up into that exact dress, which happens to be her favorite color.  I only changed the shoes, accessories and hair.  Thanks for reading and always commenting, it helps me keep going despite the frustration of working around error 12 and semi-consistent crashing.

You are very welcome  :)  I am enjoying your story.

I completely understand the frustration with Error Code 12 and errors in general.  I'm not sure if you read my dynasty, but I wrote how it destroyed my first Immortal Dynasty attempt.  I'm also working on a decadynasty that was nearly destroyed by code 12, lag, glitches, crashes, etc...A town jump helped my deca, but I used that as a last resort.  I've gotten into the habit of always making a copy of my town every time I go to play so that if anything does happen, I will, at the worst, lose only whatever I did that day.  Hope that helps keeps the Steel Legacy going.   ;D

I have deleted every save but this.  Some were years old.  It.Hurt.

This will go on.  The deletions helped, I saved three times in a sitting before error 12, much better then it was before.

I also started new photobucket so that we don't have to wait another two days until my bandwidth resets.  Update should be latter tonight, I only have another couple of days to get through.

Not tonight, can't even get through a simple dress change without error 12.  I'll give it one more go tomorrow, but this may be over.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that.  I really hope you can get that sorted out.  If not, I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your legacy and am looking forward to more stories from you in the future  :D  Best of luck with your game.

Week 8 Spring
Part 1

Miss Bella is certainly pushing herself toward betterment, despite several times rolling wishes to quit/not go to work.  Her wishes were already full, I had no choice but to turn them down -cough-.  Still, as the days rolled by, she certainly became quite useful.  She saved the lives of several sims, even though her first day on the job left her with only on-lookers.  Unsurprising for the time of year.  In her spare time she went on dates with her Mortimer, and made secret plans with her BFF Sandi.

Both Darina and Luella quickly fell in love.  They moved quickly, aware of the fact that if they were in relationships Frio could do nothing, as the fae council admired fertility and familial ties above all else.  Luella decided on Sam Sekemoto, whom she romanced in his own house.  They went on their first date, which ended in a bit of disastrous lunacy slapping from Sam, but he had already agreed to go to the prom with Luella.  Over the next few days she romanced him again, forgiving him for falling under the moon's spell, and succeeded in making him her boyfriend after a dip kiss.

Darina made her move on Brice Keaton, quickly securing him as her boyfriend after sharing a first kiss and giving a dip kiss, but not before first securing his promise to be her date for the upcoming prom.

Not to be outdone by his sisters, Ekene asked out Francesca, who agreed on the condition that he keep his hands to himself.  After getting the advice of his sisters, he slowly romanced Miss Ursine,  starting with a heat of the moment kiss instead of a traditional first kiss, and used the legendary Dip Kiss to convince her to become his girlfriend.

Prom night quickly arrived.  Ekene became king, while Darina was crowned Queen.  Luella couldn't care less, as she and Sam were acknowledged as the cutest couple.

(This was the best photo I could get, and Brice is missing from it.)

Meanwhile, Chris wasn't handling his midlife crisis very well, and wound up getting a tattoo instead of seeing his kids off on their prom night.  Here's to hoping he doesn't miss any other important moments of his family's life.

The next day at school was an important one for Darina and Luella.  The triplets went to a field tip to the police station, and left quite the impression on the fae.  Ekene was more concerned with his plans for himself.  Of course, Luella couldn't help the small, harmless prank of locking an officer in his cell.  He took it in stride, and the three left without and punishments.

Sandi was called upon to film an address to the city on behalf of the mayor.  Micheal's job as Ballot Counter probably had nothing to do with why a Best Girl was chosen.  Probably.  Whatever the cause was, Sandi continued her winning streak by getting a raise and promotion from her boss, before bringing in a check for her old school.

Chris and Molly sat the triplets down one day, and broke the news to them.  Of course the kids already knew about the legacy, but so soon...
Molly tired to keep  cheerful face, but Chris couldn't hide how he really felt about the situation.
"...and thanks to the supernatural counsel and Frio, the legacy is even more complicated.  In light of this, I'd like each of you to state your cases before I make my final decision."

As the eldest, Darina went first.  "As heir, I would be marrying Brice Keaton, an upstanding remember of the community.  His parents work in law enforcement and sports, father is a vampire.  I'd be joining his mother in law enforcement, specializing in the Forensics track, to become a Dynamic DNA Profiler.  I've become an employee at the bookstore to bolster my resume.  As far as the council, I'm marrying a mortal, diluting my chances of having a fae baby, and showing that we don't mind adding vampires to our family tree.  It's not ideal, I know, but I love Brice, and he is my choice.  Even if I didn't have to marry right away to stay safe from Frio, I'd still choose him."  She sat down after her speech, with her mother's nod of approval.  Love was always important to Molly.

Luella went next.  "As heir, i have similar interests.  Sam Sekemoto is my choice.  His father is a werewolf, showing non-fae favor which the supernatural counsil will no doubt approve of.  It tips the scales slightly towards were with Micheal's father also being a were wolf, but Sam's step-mother is River, and Fiona is a witch, which also diversifies the lineage.  it's a stretch, but it does include witches.  And besides, then the Mcirish family is bound to us!...I'm also working at the book store, and plan to join law enforcement as well, down the Special Agent Career Track, to become a International Super Spy.  I'll also be safe from Frio with Sam, between Leighton and River he wouldn't dare try anything."  Chris and Molly both nodded, her choice would indeed help to appease the council.  They were also relieved to hear that both girls had decided on careers.

Ekene stood last.  "As the only mortal option, I have my pick of the litter with supernaturals.  I have romanced Francesca with this in mind.  Though mortal, her mother is a vampire, and her father is Jared Frio." Both his sister's gasped at this, no one had known of the girl's lineage.  "Furthermore, as we are both mortal descendants of a light fae, the fae council will be appeased.  Her mother bring in vampire blood, leaving our children with a 50% chance of being mortal, and 25% each of fae and vampire, giving the council plenty of option.  However, marrying her cements family lines.  By marrying the only child of Frio, he looses any rights to ask for my immediate family members to join him, the law is very clear here in the fae book."

Molly, Darina and Luella started to tear up at this.  "Furthermore, I plan to join politics, and become leader of the free world.  I will have regular meetings with the supernatural council, and ensure them full-rights within Sunset Valley, and right the laws dealing unjustly with them.  This will satisfy any worries towards favoritism that they have, and ensure that they remain satisfied."
Ekene clapped in his excitement at having finally divulged his plan to his family, having kept it a secret since the first time he met Francesca.

Chris nodded thoughtfully  "You have all stated your case.  I will inform you on my decision by the first night of Summer.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I've been paged into work."
Coming into that shift gave Chris his last promotion, landing him a job as a World Renowned Surgeon.

Much to Molly's surprise, Miacheal asked her for Sandi's hand in marriage
"I know it's traditional to ask the father, but your light fae, as is my mother.  In light of this, I'd like to ask your permission not only as her mother, but as a member of the light, for your first daughter's hand in marriage."
Molly smiled after getting over her initial shock.
"I'd love to have you as my son-in-law.  You have my blessing."

And causing him to miss this moment.

After all, it was Love Day.

Meanwhile, the triplets began working on relevant skills, and took class in charisma and athletics that very night.  Ekene stayed up late into the night, practicing his speech for world peace, and feeling confident that he would be the heir chosen.

Week 8 Spring
Part 2

Molly prepared for her first daughter's wedding, something she had wished for since Sandi's last birthday.  She picked a bad day for it, everyone either had work or school.  Sandi and Micheal both called in sick, while Molly and Bella simply skipped work.

(Herein came the problems*)
Sandi and Bella spent the morning together, getting a few spa treatments, and sharing conspiratorial looks, and the occasional giggle.  Molly had no idea what the two were planning, and neither would let her in on the secret.

The bride, Miss Sandi French.  Isn't she lovely~

Isn't she wonderful~

Presenting Mr. Bachelor and Mrs. French.  The way Micheal is looking at her, I have no doubts as to his feelings towards her.

But it wasn't over just yet.  Bella and Sandi's plot was revealed as the two had a double wedding.

Poor Mortimer, his dad kicked the bucket while he exchanged rings.

The excitement was too much for Francesca.**

Sandi and Micheal moved back into his parent's house.  His father was nearing the end, and neither of them wanted Jocasta living alone.
Bella moved in with Mortimer.  With his dad dead, and his mother AWOL, someone needed to keep the Goth manor going.

The next few days passed uneventfully.  The girls worked out.

Sandi came to visit.

And confirmed my suspicions.

Chris rather guiltily worked on his lifetime wish after getting over his midlife crisis.  The look on his face says it all.

Ekene sure looks happy about something.  I wonder what it could be...

*I was unable to even give Bella and Sandi the simpelist of makeovers, not able to play 2 minute before error 12.  Deleted all memories.  Disabled the memory processes.  No more inventory items sans cars and oppertunity items.  Next time I'll have to move towns, hopefully I can get where I want befoe that happens...
Also, my computer randomly turned off.  Hoping that was from the heat.

**Despite being right next to her at the time, Ekene didn't even look at or think about his passed out girlfriend.  I wonder how much of his 'love' for her is really love for his family, and for the betterment of his future.

P.S
The Ursine's dog has decided he lives with the Steel household.  He hasn't left for almost a week.

Next Time

Our heir will be chosen, and take up the reins...assuming Christopher can ever achieve his lifetime wish.  (11/13 for perfect private aquarium)
