These are the sims -- my R&J died of old age, with 2 or 3 children. Romeo ran a pottery shop.

That's a much happier ending than the book. By any chance did you see the 1996 adaptation of it? I didn't like it but I don't watch/read romantic things.

I'm with Trip and Shewolf about Fizz discovering his namesake.  ;D  Those sunsets are gorgeous!

Week 5 – Accomplishments

From time to time, there are weeks when not much happens except that everyone is busy working on skills, etc. This is necessary, but not particularly story-worthy. So we’ll take some time to show off Hunt’s museum walls. This is his Adult wall, which includes the medal he received for making $25,000 as a sculptor.

This is his Young Adult wall, with his certificate for achieving the highest level of sculpting skill.

This is the wall dedicated to helpers and spouses. Francisco is the only one capable of doing portraits, so Hunt learned photography and bought a used Hikon camera to take this picture.

Besides painting portraits of Hunt and Fizz, Francisco has produced numerous masterpieces and brilliant paintings to add over 30,000 simoleons to the household funds. This is one of his masterpieces.

Francisco is still alive and going strong at 98.

In addition to cooking, gardening, and taking up painting, Janet has been holding a regular job at the Flying V Coffeehouse. Here she is on her way to work.

And here is the Minus-One Kelvin refrigerator she received on her last promotion.

Besides making the honor roll, Fitzgerald has been preparing for a career in Science. He is already a level 7 fisherman.

He is also learning how to garden – harvesting money trees provides a good incentive.

Fizz’s biggest accomplishment, however, has been in the field of romance.

I don’t know why he felt it necessary to do his wooing in the bushes (perhaps to escape the inquisitive gaze of the Watcher?), but Dana didn’t seem to mind.

They’re going steady, but Dana is a young adult now, and Fizz is still a teen, so they have to put their romance on hold.

Wow Marian for a week when nothing happens, a lot happens.  Trust Fizz to think making out in the bushes is romantic.  ::)  Good thing there is no poison ivy in the game.

Congrats on going steady with Dana, Fizz!  Hopefully he'll age up soon so they can be together again  :)

Pippin, I wondered if anyone would notice that. I didn't know if my camera would register the bushes, but I'm glad it did.

Week 6 – Departures and Arrivals

The first departure was that of Ainsley Andrews. Francisco went to meet her at the junkyard and give her one of his paintings. He had no inkling that that was the last time he would see her.

As soon as he returned home, he received word that she had died.

On a happier note, Fizz had a birthday. He is now a young adult, a neurotic, workaholic angler and hopeless romantic who loves the outdoors.

The first thing he did was to put together a new wardrobe.

The second thing was to sign up as a test subject at Dr. Terrible’s Science Building, and the third was to attempt a foray into the field of romance – or the community garden.

The kiss went so well that Fizz decided to propose.

And the proposal went well enough that Fizz and Dana decided to get married.

Dana is a natural cook with a green thumb, brave and disciplined and inappropriate. She stopped at the consignment store to get her hair bobbed.

She also put a wardrobe together.

Fizz and Dana then went to China. Fizz wanted to do some fishing.

He caught some koi for the Scholar’s Garden.

Dana decided to learn martial arts. When she got her second belt, she chose a sparring name for herself – Flapper Fist.

Probably this isn’t the best name for someone who’s trying to break boards.

And they found time for other activities, too.

After they heard chimes, Dana expressed her emotions with a school cheer (she got her degree in Communications back when she was in grade school).

When they returned home, Fizz went to his first day of work as a test subject. He participated in a study of the effect of strange hats on employee morale.

That night he went fishing for a new kind of creature, and the next day Janet made her first batch of ambrosia.

While she was cooking, there was another arrival at the Cottoneye household.

Her name is Chanel. She’s disciplined like her mother and neurotic like her father and grandfather.

Just caught up with the dynasty story and it's so nice to read it. Bookmarked for further reading. So, good luck for this dynasty.
P.S. The sunset shot of the town looks superb. And welcome dear Chanel(Channel?). :)

Chet, Chanel is named for Coco Chanel, a famous fashion designer of the early 20th century. Glad you like the sunsets!

Welcome, Chanel!  The line about Dana having apparently gotten her degree in communications while in grade school was too funny!  I love how degrees just magically appear on some Sims... ???
