I have also noticed that the Simlish spoken in Sims 1 & 2 sounds quite different to 3. The first two sounded very Japanese and the latest one sounds more American/European.

I believe it's a broken combination of languages.

I believe it's a broken combination of languages.

That's remind me of something from the past.
While installing The Sims 2, I remember a little game pops up while installing 4 disks of data. In the little game a few multiple choice questions where asked and one of them was on which excisting language the sims was partly based. I really do think to remember correctly the answer was Korean.

I know a few Simlish words:

Sulsul: Some kind of greeting

Gerbit: Llama

Shurb: Shake

And, here's the lyrics to Katie Perrys "Hot and Cold" in english and simlish.

English:

You change your mind

Like a girl changes clothes

Yeah you, PMS

Like a *****, I would know

And you, always think

Always think cryprically

I should know, that you're no good for me

'Cause you're hot then you're cold

You're yes, then you're no

You're in then you're out

You're up then you're down

You're wrong when it's right

It's black and it's white

We fight, we break up

We kiss, we make up

You, you don't really wanna stay, no

You, you don't really wanna go, oh

'Cause you're hot then you're cold

You're yes then you're no

You're in then you're out

You're up then you're down

We, used to be

Just like twins, so in sync

The same, energy

Now's a dead battery

Used to laugh, 'bout nothing

Now you're plain boring

I should know, that you're not gonna change

Someone, call the doctor

Got a case of love bipolar

Stuck on a roller coaster

Can't get off this ride

You, change your mind

Like a girl, changes clothes

The asterisks were a bad word. :-\

Simlish:

Vous chikanip

laka gurl chika claps

Va vous, ZNS,

Laka brich, aba nup

Om vous, olweh zonk

Olway seek, cryptozeek

Ashanup, za vous ku da vina

Kavahap ninap cou

Fahit tinap blo

Vaip tinip aw

Vaip tinip taw

Va longe rishwai

Zi hurkinish why

Wi fout, we wi dap

Wi kip, we ni daw

Vous, vous nu really wanna sti, oh

Vous, vous nu really wanna cri, oh

Kavahap ninap cou

Fahit tinap blo

Vaip tinip aw

Vanip tunip taw

Wa, yip tu bey

Juk ku twip, su ba sip

Ta si, enerjonk

Nawza dwip batteronk

Yiptulorp, ba nuthing

No yoh playy amorengk

Ashanup, za u kudi ki ye

Sugnorg, cul di docturg

Gutta case o luv bicoler

Stucowa roli nowster

Can't rinup za wey

Vous, chika hip

Laka gurl, chika claps

I've never heard the song, but I thought it was cool. Some of the lyrics sound really alike! :D

Funny Simlish That You Find?
« Reply #19 on: November 16, 2010, 06:02:43 PM »
I was thinking that there should just be a thread discussing what some simlish might mean or any simlish that sounds funny. Here are some that I find:

"Wippna chobba dog!" (when they hop, clap, and move their fist down; occurs when sim is excited. Possibly means "Yay, I like this!")

"Blarg! Has chuu, ugh!" (when sims complain that there is no "route" to an action in the queue Possibly means: "Hey! I can't go there; ugh!")

"Aww, nebba nooboo" (Cooing to babies, of course. Means "Aww, sweet baby" I think)

(I did find a thread like this, but it hasn't been posted on since September, I think.)

Since there is another thread with this type of thing in it, I am combining this thread with that one.

Nice Simstar! Where did you get that lyrics? I remember a sims 1 word called: 'Tirma.' Sims where using it when they are excited or shocked about something. There is actually a sims 1 remix song with this word in it. I will see if I can find it.

EDIT: No, I didn't. But I did find this remix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asqS5wHxzvA

I got 'em from Sims wikia. I also read something odd. On the Kidz Zone channel, apparently that woman dressed as a fairy says "Well, hi there!" in english! Anyone noticed this?

Has anyone tried listening to Custom Music on Sims 3? The songs are in ENGLISH. For example, one begins with "I love LA". Creepy.

Custom music is music files you have put into your game files, so yes, they will be in English or whatever language that the song is sung in.

I don't think I put any music into the files.

There are some default music files in the custom music section. You can add your own mp3s to it too.

Hopefully there aren't any Simlish dialects, or we'll be in trouble.

Oh, and can someone get both versions of Kerli's "Tea Party"? Her song is on the Simlish Pop station.
