The Legacy of Justice Cottoneye (June 18)

I was going to wait until the decadynasty finished, but Justice has been anxious to get started. I'm using Pinstar's rules, but with a twist:

Using the Sim Game Selector 3.0, I'm starting with the Base Game only. Each time a heir or spare is born, I get to add the next expansion or stuff pack (with a limit of 2 per generation). I'm also adding in something from my collection of store stuff each time a point is scored.

Besides the points from Pinstar's rules (1 per heir, 1 per portrait of heirs, spouses and spares, 1 per completed lifetime wishes, 1 per 100,000 happiness points*, and 1 per $100,000 of financial worth), I'm adding 1 point per 10-item collection (1 collection per generation, each item unique).

Edit to add: *I've changed this to 1 per obelisk (large) tombstone.

I've also decided that once a household achieves a worth of $1,000,000, the next heir will have to pull up stakes and start over in a new world.

I'll be starting the story tomorrow.

The Justice Cottoneye Legacy

Chapter 1 – Getting Started

Here is Justice Cottoneye. He’s your basic founder – ambitious, artistic, family-oriented, a lover of the outdoors and a workaholic.



This is his new home, the legacy/dynasty lot in Sunset Valley.



Justice: Explain to me again why I’m here rather than under a roof in the firehouse?

Watcher: I thought you loved the outdoors.

Justice: I do, but what if it rains?

Watcher: Not to worry – I’ve turned off Seasons. I’ve turned off Ambitions, too, which is why there’s no firehouse.

Justice: O-kay. I suppose that means I can’t use the Consignment Store either. I guess I’ll just have to go to China and clean out the bookshelves.

Watcher: No can do. I turned off World Adventures, too.

Justice: So, you’re going to introduce me to Agnes tomorrow, right?

Watcher: That’s the Immortal Dynasty. You’re in a Legacy. You can’t bring anyone into the household except by marriage. And you can’t marry Agnes because she’s rich.

Justice: Well, she wasn’t my type anyway. But that girl I met today – Blair Wainwright – she’s pretty cute.

Watcher: She’s rich, too.

Justice: Well, there’s my boss, Nancy Landgraab.

Watcher: Rich.

Justice: My co-worker, Iliana Langerak.

Watcher: Rich, I think. Plus they’re both married to other people. But don’t worry – I’m sure we’ll find someone.

--- A week later ---



Justice: Bebe Hart, I know you just graduated from high school and probably this isn’t the wisest move you could make, but would you consider marrying me and becoming the mother of my heir and my spare?

Bebe: Does this mean I get to leave my certifiably insane parents and become a doctor instead of a beverage consultant?

Justice: Yes.

Bebe: I’m in.



Bebe: Ooh, a makeover! I can’t wait to see all those new clothes and hairstyles!

Watcher: Actually – it’s just base game stuff right now. But I’ll bring in things from the Store each time someone in the family gets a point.



Bebe: A point?

Watcher: The household gets a point when a heir is born, a spare is born, a portrait is painted, a lifetime wish is completed, 100,000 happiness points are gained, the household makes another $100,000, or a 10-item collection is completed. I thought your generation might do space rocks.

Bebe: Let’s go get those space rocks!

Watcher: I thought you might start with the heir first.



Here’s Gustav Cottoneye – he’s insane and good, and his favorite color is pink.

Bebe: He’s going to be just like my father. Didn’t you say something about new clothes?

Watcher: On it.

Chapter 2 – The Wrong Time to Give Birth

Bebe was quite happy with her new hairstyle and new clothes. “Braids again!” She clapped her hands.



Early next morning, she and Justice decided to celebrate Gustav’s birthday.



He looks remarkably like his mother.



Since Justice is family-oriented, it wasn’t long before little Gustav was walking and going potty on his own. Bebe took over teaching him how to talk.

“Vacation,” said Bebe.” On a sun-kissed beach with palm trees. An ocean breeze carrying the sweet scent of jasmine…Can you repeat all that?”

“Ditto!” said Gustav.

Bebe has the bookworm trait, also good, technophobe, and never nude. (The Watcher can’t remember the 5th.)



There are not many really wrong times to give birth, but Bebe managed to pick one of them – that moment after the hungry toddler has been placed in the high chair and before the toddler has been given his bowl of porridge. The Watcher muted her computer during this time and just prayed that the new baby would arrive before the social worker did.



When Justice arrived home, Bebe was glad to see him. “Great news!” he said. “I’ve been given a promotion.”

“Greater news!” said Bebe. “You have a new son – Dorian. He’s easily impressed and he loves the outdoors.”



“That’s wonderful,” said Justice. “But here’s the greatest news. With Dorian’s birth, I now have 30,000 happiness points so we can get a dusty…”

(Watcher: “psst!”)

…”old…”

(Watcher: “There’s no genie! I uninstalled Showtime.”)

“What I mean,” continued Justice, “is that my dusty, old, uncle has kicked…”

(Watcher: “No inheritance, either. That came with Generations.”)

Justice sighed. “Well, anyway, I think we have enough simoleons to put siding on all the outside walls. Green, of course.”



Time passed so quickly that little Dorian became a toddler before the Watcher could take his picture as an infant. He has Justice’s nose and maybe Grandmother Dorie’s dark hair.

Just to keep us informed, do you think you can post what stuff is being added and when? Sorry, it's kind of hard to keep track.
The boys are just adorable. They've got Bebe's doe-y eyed look.
