I still have the problem, but I think I mentioned quite a while back, for my stories, I use word pad.  If you use photobucket for your photos, I just bring up word pad, type my story and copy my picture code into word pad, save it and copy and paste it into my reply.  You can also copy and paste the code from the forum's gallery.  I can write a book doing it that way.   :)

So, next logical question: what browser do you use Seabody?

Internet Explorer 8 - the browser you guys identified as the problem before I joined this forum.
I don't get why it's IE8. Pam mentioned upgrading to IE8 and getting this problem.
Pam, did you have a previous version of Internet Explorer, or did you upgrade from, say, Firefox?
I wonder if it's a problem with Internet Explorer itself, no matter what version?

I use Internet Explorer 7.

Well, I'm not Pam, but here was her answer from earlier. And she did not have said problem.

I am now upgraded to IE 9, and I no longer have this issue.

I've never run into this problem, but thank you all for the warning -- I guess I know not to make super-long posts.

As for the Dynasty Posts, I'm wondering if I haven't run into this because I type everything out in Word first?

I'm also using Firefox for my browser, so that could be it too.

It's IE8 - we confirmed that last year.

So if you use IE 8, upgrade to IE 9 and you should be all set.

I was going to upgrade to IE9 and they only recommend it for computers with OS windows 7 or Vista, which I still have have XP.  Hopefully when I get another computer, that will solve that. :)

Salty, get Chrome or Mozzilla instead. It`ll sort your problem sooner. IE is nothing but a pain in the, erm, plumbob?

Yes, members have confirmed it was the plumbob. :P

When will you have your new computer salty? If things are okay, you should have IE9 preinstalled on your new machine.

I tried installing both of those and something was just not right.  I will just wait.  Before I get another computer, I am going to upgrade this one.  New memory and a graphics card. I have a work around anyway to posting long posts or stories. :)

I just noticed recently that the forum upgrade seems to have fixed this for me, at least.

EDIT: I'm still on IE8.

EDIT 2: I just tested it by typing up an extremely long post. Yeah, it's fixed for me. Phew!

I hate to throw a spanner in the works, but I use firefox, and I've had that issue, but mostly just dealt with it.  I'm not sure if it went away with the upgrade though.
