installing sims 3 base game without origin

Hi Guys,

I am in desperate help here. I bought the sims 3 start pack which comes with the bace, late night and high end loft stuff, I installed everything fine but then my hard drive crashed and had to replace it. My problem is now I do not have the internet access at all anymore. Is there a way to copy the folder contents on the dvd to my program files, I so miss this game:(

If you have the disc, can't you just re-install it? You wouldn't get any updates, but you would still have the game installed.

Unfortunately that seems to have been changed a while ago. Here is Crinrict's tutorial about it, and there is also another thread about it here.
