Are you going to buy the Late Night expansion?

I hate to admit it but I always preorder all Sims as soon as I hear a release date.  It used to be it was very hard to find a copy the date of the release unless it was preordered so I just got into that habit.  I know I will want it so I can't see waiting.  I am a Sim addict, what can I say!

I know I'm buying it, but I don't know when! I pre-ordered Ambitions, but since then I've moved and don't have a new credit card so this one I will probably buy at Wal-Mart!

Lucky you! My sister called me a Simaholic this morning. I agreed 100%  I'm either always playing the Sims or reading about the Sims!

I'll buy it within a couple days of release. Probably the day of release if I can swing it.    And I'm pretty stoked (does anyone even use that term anymore? It was just there, when I wanted a word for excited.) about the musical instruments and the vampires. The hot tubs should be fun, too.  

Oh, and I've never pre-ordered anything and I've been ordering from amazon.com for over a decade.

Stoked is a cool word! I'm very excited about the vampires! I've pre-ordered 2 music CD's and 2 Sim's EP's before. I think it's cool when you can get things the day they are released! I actually am thinking about getting a new card just so I can pre-order it!

Amazon.com only delivers to America? Otherwise it could be an option for me to.

I don't think you'd want to order from the American site. If it's even possible they'd probably heap on the fees. There are amazon.com sites for other countries. I'll take a quick look. Okay, here's what I found.

Thanks for the help. The Illuminator here is another Dutchman too. We sometimes help each other out here (as good Dutchmen do) if we have a problem with whatever related to the sims.

The only reason for me to buy it on the internet is if the game is cheaper than in stores here though.

I haven't given this expansion much attention. I'm old enough to be pretty much done with clubbing, and my Late Nights are more often spent at home playing sims than going out on the town. As a longtime fantasy reader, I got over the whole vampire thing years ago, so that's not really a draw for me.

BUT: Ambitions didn't sound too exciting on the surface of it, and it turned out to be a must-have in my opinion, so I'm going to wait and read about the fun you guys are having with it...and knowing me, end up buying it the next day.  (^_^)

edit: I'm trying to imagine Pam with 3 arms, one of them Dutch.

Oh, good. I wasn't sure if you had any of your fellow Dutch here. I've only looked at a few Profiles (I looked at yours just last night 'cause I couldn't remember where you were) and I tend to forget where people are from even if I have. And I can certainly understand your reasoning on whether to buy in a store there or on-line. In my case, I doubt there'll be much difference once shipping is added and if I can get it in a store, I'll have it sooner, which is worth something anyway.

I'm not going to preorder, I'll probably wait a day or two to compare prices in actual shops and then look online to see where I can get it cheapest. I don't think I've ever preordered anything in my life, apart from Harry Potter books!

Now there's a girl who's got her priorities straight!  I'm getting mine right after it's released, although if I can get the disk through pre-order and not just the download I'll pre-order it.

You can get the disc (physical copy) through pre-order at EA's store. I only do it if I can find a coupon code that makes it cheaper than waiting and getting it in the store. I got Ambitions for 40% off and it was a pre-order I was shocked and have been looking for something similar but haven't found anything. So if anyone finds anything please share and I will do the same.
