Children Error

In sims three I have only dealt with 2 familys, and in my first one, one of my children wouldn't age up. I kept sending her to the birthday cake, and it said it was her time of age but she wouldn't age up nor would she get into any bed to sleep. Because of this, I decided to start a new family. My family started with premade adults and teenagers of opposite families. The Adults married and had a kid and that kid was just fine. Then when the teenagers grew up and got married they had a child. This child was just fine all the way up to becoming a teenager (which is their current age). Then they had triplets and moved to a bigger home. Two of the triplets grew up perfectly but one of them (my favorite of course ) is having the same problem as my original family. She wont age up even though shes of appropriate age and I sent her to the birthday cake and nothing happened, as well as trying trigger aqe which will work for a second and then she'll stop having her birthday. Now she wont go to bed. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum ^^  OK, first, do you play with mods or any CC?  Sometimes those can cause issues or even a setting can be wrong.  If that's not the problem, have you considered using testingcheatsenabled true and then shift+clicking to trigger the age transition?

When using the birthday cake, do you get a text message and does she blow the candles?

I do have mods and cc, and I have tried using trigger age transition. When I send her to the birthday cake, it says she's having a birthday and she blows out the candles and then goes to do something else. I haven't tried reset sim, I am going to do so as soon as my game loads.

resetsim did not work. Actually I believe I only have cc not mods. The game also stops working when I try to change her appearance or use testingcheats to edit sim, as well as her disappearing when I look at the family in the menu, only a little shadow outlined circle where she should be standing.

Try uninstalling your CC first, try the cake again.  Sounds like your CC may have caused her to glitch.  If that doesn't work, she may be corrupted beyond repair but I don't know.
