I cheat when I install  a new expansion pack, so that I can play  around with it.  I make a new Sim and then whatever I learn from that I use with my non cheating Sims.

I cheat sometimes. My worst is when a child is an infant or if I need to make a friend and have no patience. I'm trying a legacy game so resisting temptation has been hard at times. I'm sticking to it though! :)

Same with me, Redlaw.

I never use them but only because i have no idea how. If i could figure it out I'm sure i would use it for a few things. I'm not very eager to find cheats though because i have a perfectly good time without them. To be honest the only cheat i really want is to get teenagers to be able to woo-hoo and i don't even think there is a cheat for that.

Welcome, simlover!
There is no cheat for that, as that would break the T game rating.

I am one to cheat, but I'm trying to kick the habit, thanks to Metro! Immortal Dynasty challenge = Break cheating habit.
Also, the game became much more fun when you don't cheat, as samoht said. :D

I do cheat sometimes especially if I am testing something out. I am currently doing the upgrade challenge and I keep forgetting that my Sims are allowed to teleport I click on a place and tell my Sim to go there then have to quickly cancel it and get them to teleport instead.

Now that I've started the Immortal Dynasty Challenge, I've found the fun in not cheating.
Though I have to admit, I'd much rather shift-click and pick 'trigger age transition' than have to use the birthday cake :D

I'm playing a Dynasty and I love it. However Metro came up with this amazing challenge I don't know, but I'm still using my cheats. I'm not going for HoF because I can't even imagine having 8 sims without make needs static! I'd go insane haha.

You do know that once they hit elder, the sims can retire, right?  By that point in time all of the hair pulling and running about like a madman (or madwoman in your case ;) ) meeting Dynasty requirements should be over and done with.  And with free will set on high, they fend for themselves quite nicely (if you don't mind them spending all day playing with the sprinklers  >:( ).  I just concentrate on the current generation, and let the retired sims do whatever they want to do.  After all:  they earned it!  But even for me, it takes some discipline to just leave them alone.  After a while, I just get used to meddling in their affairs.

Personally, I haven't retired my founder yet despite the fact that she's immortal now, simply because I want to see how much money she can make after getting raises a couple times a week (plus, it gives her something to do other than playing with the sprinkler all day lol).  I've got a vampire doctor who has already outlived one non-vamp husband, and she makes a crazy amount of money every day (almost $5k now).  And she's still a young adult (with a grandchild lol)!  That's without cheats, on normal life span, without Ambrosia/Life Fruits, and the only tattoo she has she got in CAS.  But I've kept the family relatively small.  Right now, there are 4 sims in the household, and that's the most that's ever been in it.

Don't get me wrong:  I'm not trying to change your mind.  I won't begrudge anyone the use of cheat codes and I can see how they could help some folks enjoy the game more.  I've played extremely large families before, and I know very well how it can drive you mad at times.  I just wanted to offer some food for thought that perhaps it might not be as crazy as it appears, depending on how you approach it.  Might, but not definitely.

In the end, your game play experience is about your enjoyment, so it should only ever be what you want it to be.  And don't let anyone (especially me lol) tell you any different.
