I cheat all the time and I think that's why I get bored easily.

That's why I don't cheat. I prefer the challenges created by having no money, low mood or few LTHP. I tend to lose interest in playing 'perfect' sims.

I do use cheat codes to deal with annoying bugs and glitches. These days, I now use other things that prevents a lot of them from occurring. I suppose that is cheating either way.

I could never do a proper legacy/dynasty because the glitches would drive me insane.

I enjoy earning my way into better houses, career ranks and items, earning enough simoleons to upgrade or remodel or build a house for the first time was really fun and challenging...but I do not enjoy 8000 cars chilling on my roads or non aging sims or broken family trees...or a mystery piece of garbage that cannot be found, ever, disgusting the entire family.

I'll admit when I first got here, I wouldn't say out-right I cheat unless asked, but the more I hung out and got comfortable with people, and realized no one would judge me for anything, I let them know. Now I'm known here as a big cheater, and I'm such a happy camper about that haha. At least I can be myself here.  ;D

Yeah, you know we love you, you big cheater, you!   ;D

The only time I cheat is when I'm really just trying to figure out a skill or an activity and I drag up some of the needs bars so I can continue on with what I'm doing. I rarely use the money cheats, because I get super bored when my sims have everything handed to them. I might use "kaching" once or twice if I really need to get something, but that's really it.

I almost always use moveobjects when I am setting up a house and I don't really understand any of the other building cheats that well so I never use them. (except constrainfloors when I want to attach a garage. :) )

I confess, I'm a pretty big cheater on Sims 3. If I didn't play with needs static or freerealestate, the game would be very limited and dull to me. I want my Sims busy with something ALL the time. Really, do I want to spend all of their Sim days telling them to go potty and make sure they feed themselves? I play with low free will too, because I am a control freak.

I even taught my cousin's 11 and 8 year old daughters the joys of Sims cheating. They only get to play the game here. I give them the option of whether they want to cheat or not, and they love the cheats as much as I do.  :P

Oh geeze, I could never do that.  I'm always afraid that I'm going to let a Sim starve to death lol.

I change my previous rating. Lately I've been cheating a lot. Especially with points for LTR.

I'm defiantly a big cheater. I don't use the Make Needs Static Cheat because they don't seem to do much of anything on their own, just stand around. It's almost like having free will turn off. But I will click and drag their needs up and they still do things on their own.
And I will drag relation bars back up when they lose friends because they blew up a junk pile in the Junkyard. But that's because I don't think they should get in trouble for using the Junkyard. Isn't that what it's there for? It's not like he was blowing up stuff around town.

I do the same! Why make needs static? Besides, there are times when it's best to be hungry, like when you want to take people out to eat.

The decision system that chooses autonomous interactions is based on fulfilling a sim's motives.  If you have them all set to maximum, then the sim has nothing to fulfill, and therefore does nothing.

When I'm playing my legacy family, I have the Energy, Hunger, and Bladder motives set to static, and leave the Fun and Social free so my sims are still active on their own. :)

How do you get to choose which motives are static?? When I click the mailbox and do that, all of them are static!

Oh my there have been countless times where I have accidentally killed a sim with dragging the hunger bar! Sometimes it takes a second to get the meter filled, so I only try to drag it once and wait a couple seconds before I try dragging it again.
I LOVE the teleport cheat, it's one I truly miss in my Dynasty.
