Fireman stuck in my house!

There has been a fireman stuck in one of my houses for weeks! He came to put out a fire started by the fireplace and he got into a walkway under the stairs that almost looks like a closet and never left. I didn't really care because he wasn't in the way at all. Then when the fire started agin he came running out of the closet and to the foyer, not the same room as the fire. Now he's just standing in the foyer looking stupid. How can I get rid of him? I can't click on him, there are no options for me to interact with him. And his fire truck is parked outside on the corner. The lights stopped flashing after the second fire. When I adopted a new cat, the cat has wishes to check out the strange sim and it was the fireman, and he checked it out, but other than that I cannot interact with him. Any help getting him to leave is appreciated! Thanks!

Shift + Control + C to open the cheats panel.

resetsim (fireman's first and last name), without parentheses.

Press Enter.

Did you type  testingcheatsenable true first before using the reset sim cheat?

You shouldn't need testingcheats for resetting a sim.

You typed his name right, correct? First and last name?

For example, the Fireman's name is Ryan Randall
You press 'ctrl' and 'shift' and 'c'. After the cheat bar appear, you type in 'resetSim Ryan Randall' and 'enter'.
He should be reset and disappear from your house then.

I also had this problem ( did not think of "reset sim") I opened up the cheat box and typed in moveobjects on .Then I went into buymode clicked on the fireman and put him outside he went away after a short while

The reset sim cheat is not working for me. I have tried it several times.

I do not recommend it because it may make your game very slow but have you used the cheat: testingcheatsenabled true, because if you use that you could press shift and click left on your mouse then go on object.... delete.
