I am so glad you are still going with this.  I love reading you story Joria.   So redoing your lot worked for you?  I am glad, if that is the case. yay ;D

Haven't done it yet.  I simply remove everything from my EA folder except the dynasty when I play it and then put it back when I want to do something else.  They are still in France.

What you guys are seeing/reading is the story line that ALMOST was.  I could not leave Aurora in France as there were too many complications.  Back in Riverview the family bought different venues/properties and this is where the spouses are going.  Cameron, forinstance,  is at Cameron's Rest which was his favorite watering hole.  So after this particular trip to France, the family all went back to RV carrying Aurora's tomb stone with them.  Then they went back to France so Christmas and Jude could skill up and so I could work on the nectary.  However, what took place during that first trip was interesting so I'm back tracking and showing you all what occurred to cause me to have to move Aurora back to RV.

The Thyme's are currently still in France, skilling up Christmas which is a tad boring.  How many screenies of a kid at a computer or playing chess does one need?  I am still hoping Summer will get some adventures to do to increase her visa level.  She is rather stuck in her career until she can get home and really has nothing she can supermax while in France that won't mess up someone else further down the road.  Jude does get the occasional adventure but they are all of the "talk to X" caliber and nothing that would really be fun to do, like the amazing challenge under the nectary.  I have yet to get an adventure for that although I did explore it via cheats with another, non-dynasty Sim.  It's really fun but I want to do it "for real".

Meanwhile, here's some more of the lost line saga....(lost because we had to REALLY bury Aurora somewhere else).

To everyone's surprise, Aurora DID finally make an appearance.  Some were delighted to see her, and some basically didn't recognize her at all.  It almost was as if she did not exist for them past or present.  Justin was delighted, but Summer was more interested in going to bed and just waltzed on by her.  Perhaps because of her lonely childhood and earlier bad relationship?

Aurora tried desperately to get Winter's attention, but as with Summer, it was as if she wasn't even there.  Did they just want to put all that pain behind them and move on?  Aurora merely wanted to thank Winter for bringing her "home" to her favorite place, but was totally ignored by Winter.

Justin, however, wanted so much to believe Aurora was back for good.  The two of them were together again!  Almost as if there had been no tragedy, no death, nothing to cause them to part.  They chatted for hours and got to know one another again.  They found they had to renew their romance, right from the start.  As if they had no history together, yet they were so drawn to one another.  Perhaps it was the transition from life to death and back as a ghost that caused some lapses.

Finally, they found something they could both remember.  One of the things they always did together was spar, and so they did....

The night had moved on to a glorious dawn.  Neither of them wanted to part but Aurora was feeling a bit faint and tired and seemed to be drifting away.  Justin tried to keep her with him, chatting about things they had both known and done together.  Sharing romantic memories of places they had been.

Poor Aurora!  She was so exhausted she just passed out cold near the play house.  If you look closely, you can see her head sort of in the grass.

The next night, things were very different......

"Oh, Justin!  I've missed you!  I'm so sorry I forgot what we had for a bit.  Are you happy I'm back, my love?"

"I've missed you so much sweetheart!  I some how knew we'd find each other again!  I hope this time we'll never have to part!"

I'd like to say everything went well from this point on, and in the natural progression of things a little woo hooing was in order.  Unfortunately......

"No!  Don't touch me that way!  It's not right, not yet."

"Whoa!  Ok, then.  We'll just cuddle and sleep and take each day as it comes.  Ok?"

(change of scene)

"Momma!!!!!!   Momma come quick!!!! Momma there is something bad, really, really bad in Grampa's room!  Please, go see!  I'll get dressed and be right there."

"Ok, Christmas.  Calm down now honey, it can't be that bad.  There are no bad things here.  Ok?"

Summer got in the elevator, wishing she could make it go faster.  She simply couldn't believe all that Christmas had told.  A ghost in bed with her grandfather?!  Impossible!  Unless........

There they were!  Her father all zonked out and the ghost of her mother looking very smug indeed.  What kind of clown show is this?  Scaring Christmas like that!  And didn't they have any decency?!!!  Dead, is DEAD!

As far as she was concerned he was no longer her father!  She was through with both of them.  DISGUSTING!  Christmas felt pretty much the same.  How dare this strange ghost female get in HER grampa's bed!

This would definitely destroy the family as a family.  There was no way they could accept Aurora in their lives anymore.

So, dear friends and readers, this was really very upsetting.  I didn't do all the screenies I took.  Justin and Aurora were really getting quite snuggly and he was thinking of marriage.  Obviously, just from this little bit I shared, the rest of the family was no way going to tolerate it.  It was causing so much harm and drama within the family, and I didn't even post other screenies of the fights that happened after this one night, that I knew they had to take Aurora's tomb back to Riverview and bury her there, which they did.
Justin had a lot of fences he had to mend with everyone, but even he knew he could not have a loving, fulfilling relationship with the ghost of the woman he loved so much.  They would have to wait until they could share eternity with one another.  Meanwhile, that ambrosia seemed to do more than just keep him alive in the living/breathing sense because every pretty female that crossed his path he made a pass at!  Randy old goat!  So here we are now, back in France, back at the chateau, only this time he is behaving himself. Hopefully they will get done what they need to so my story can move on.

Wow that is odd! What's wrong with having a relationship with the ghost of your wife?!

She's DEAD, for Pete's sake!

roflmbo!  I have no idea why Summer and Christmas took such offense to it, but after they saw him with Aurora's ghost in bed with him, and WE saw how she refused to woo hoo with him, they just carried on for days.  At first they wouldn't talk with him and snubbed him a lot.  Then when they finally did talk to him it was to have a really nasty fight with everyone looking very ugly.  He was the one who backed down and decided he wouldn't see Aurora again, although how you can refuse to see a ghost is beyond me.  After he made it clear he wouldn't have anything to do with her they all forgave him and life went on just fine.  All these different scenarios happened without me doing anything except watch their antics.

What I didn't show you, partly because I was so shocked by it that I didn't take any screenies, was old Randy Andy went into town to see one of the local ladies for a challenge she had, and then stayed to make out with her and woo hoo!  She obviously has designs on him but at the moment they are just friends.  Considering the reaction the family had to the ghostly affair, it will probably remain that way.  Just friends.

I've decided I need to bring the Thyme's home.  This France thing with lack of adventures is just a waste of thyme, (pun intended).  I've some issues going on with game play in general, jerky, stop and go movement even on a simple file, so hopefully I'll get that resolved and get my family back in the swing of things.  I'll have to do a complete home makeover, (file is too huge), so hang in there.

Joria, I haven't posted in a while, even if I checked things regularly. I'm so sorry you are struggling this much with technical difficulties. Hope they'll make it and move on from this hard thyme you and they are having;) And that Angel pic is wonderful! I can't look enough at your marvelous building achievements, and as always, love reading your story. I know that you're partly enjoying the challenge of rebuilding the mansion so can't wait to see the result ;D

Dear Diary,  here we are still in France!  I've actually FINALLY gotten a couple of challenges under my belt!  Justin, as usual, is busy being artistic, creating sculpture after sculpture.  Jude has been making himself so very useful upgrading all the appliances and even doing a lot of practice with the board breaker.  We're getting tons of gems!  Summer keeps trying to find something useful to do with her thyme, but so far there are no challenges available for her and she's getting very bored.  She did find 5 stars and has run around the country collecting more gems and minerals for us.  Most of the things she would be able to do she's not allowed to do for fear of taking over someone elses skill.  For the most part, I hang out in the hot tub or play gnub, so the challenges were really quite a nice break.  Oh!  I forgot!  I did put several dishes of ambrosia in the replicator so Justin and I don't have to worry about cooking.  One death fish made twenty dishes!  Whoo hoo!

Speaking of 'whoo hoo".  Justin is behaving himself but Jude and Summer are just as much in love as ever so we delicately avoid their room at all hours.  You just never know!

Our darling Christmas has spent most of her time working on her skills.  I am SO proud of her!  She's written several books, has searched the galaxy, played chess and in general upgraded her logic skill to level 7!  Her writing skill level is that high as well.  (Really, she is the reason we're still here!) It is so adorable watching her do her exercises in front of the tv.  I just wish she would spend more time being a child.  She acts too grown up some times.

Every thyme I think we're ready to go home, something shows up that keeps us here, like Christmas starting a new book to write.  Hopefully it will all be worth the thyme spent in this beautiful home and land.  I do so love it here.

More another day!
