I had promised you some screenshots and a bit of backing up in the story. Well, there were 71 screenies after I edited out several! Obviously, at 2 am, I'm not going to do it all. Today I got the Abandoned Nectary in the Swap Shop so here is a teaser, pictures I forgot to put up.
This was when Aurora was laid to rest. Unfortunately, (as you will see later), she was a restless spirit and her tomb had to be moved to a spot where she would not be a problem. While this was really beautiful and peaceful, and what I thought would be a great solution, it turned out less than wonderful.
This is the living room/lounge of the mansion. I had neglected to post this in the Swap Shop so only you readers get a peek at it. I truly would love a room like this.
Ok, enough of that.
Our family made the trip to France safely and were settling in. Justin's grief was boundless. He tried very hard in every way he knew to put some of the pain aside, but the loss of his only love was wearing him down.
Standing on the balcony of the room he and Aurora shared was just too painful. He tried, but inspiration seemed to slip away from him and he began to paint the same pictures over and over. Each one worse than the other although still worth a great deal of money. As quickly as he painted them he sold them. He was not able to stand looking at them. Plans were made to build him a studio and get away over the garage. (see Swap Shop snaps) One morning, Christmas woke up to this:
In his desperate attempt to forget, Justin had begun painting at her easle in the wee hours of the night. The next morning she had a talk with him over breakfast.
He apologized to her for scaring her and waking her up, and explained how he felt he was just losing his touch, none of his paintings were coming out right! He was so upset he was actually yelling! She took it in stride though, and simply listened to him as he spilled out his heart to her. Finally, when he seemed to calm down, she mentioned that maybe he should try painting something and some WHERE else. All that day he worked on setting up what would later become his studio, and finally was able to get some peace and some fine work going.
and Christmas was able to get a good night's sleep. And that is where I leave you so I can do the same! 'Night all!
