Joria,

The thing with deleting pictures in earlier posts is that you have to go into each post and remove the image link.  If you delete just the image in Photobucket, we get a an ugly little image in the post saying that the image has been removed.  There's a whole string of them on the first page of this thread.  These things make the Forum look unattended and can possibly damage our reputation on the Internet.  I'll start working my way through some of your posts to help make sure all of the image links get removed, with an edit note that the links have been removed by me.  I know there are several also on the building contest threads that need attention.  You can access all of your posts through your profile page, which will make it easier to find them.

Edit:  After thinking on it some more, I believe it would be best to maintain the integrity of this thread as much as possible.  So, it would be better to use thumbnails with the in-house image hosting service than to delete images from earlier posts.  There are others who use just the thumbnails and it works out ok.

Oh!  I just thought of another possible solution.  Maybe you can make a second Photobucket account with a different email address.  Have you tried that?

Gee, wish I had known all that beforehand!  I would have asked you how to delete the image links and done it myself to save you the effort.  Isn't it better to just delete some of the earlier building contest threads?  Really, does anyone go back and read them?

I would have been using thumbnails all along except you particularly wanted us to use photo bucket so I was following your wishes on that.  Thumbnails are surely a lot easier than fooling around with photo bucket.   However, the bigger pictures sure are nice, especially since the thumbnails don't always show as large a picture when you click on them.  Makes it harder for things like contests where pictures are involved.  I had not thought of another photo bucket account although that makes a lot of sense. I think for now, however, I simply will avoid posting pictures for awhile.  I have a lot more on my mind than pictures of pixels.

Thanks for the idea and for maintaining this forum so well!  I know it's a really time consuming and probably often frustrating job for you.

Soooo, catching up for you who read this story:

Summer had aged into a not so attractive child which was fixed with a quick trip to the bureau and mirror.  Once her hair was out of her face and the surly look gone, you could see she really does look a lot like her grandfather, Jon Lessen.  His hair color, his eyes, etc.  I don't see much of Aurora in her looks except sometimes when she smiles, which for this little girl, isn't often.  (Aurora has the nicest, sweetest, happiest smile of any Sim I have ever seen.)

To summarize:

Winter Thyme:  Founder, 5 Star chef (check)
Traits: Natural Cook, Kleptomaniac, Green Thumb, Angler, Friendly
                        Super Max:  Gardening
                         Max:  Fishing
                         Max:  Cooking (well, duh!)

                         Business:  Hogan's Diner
Property:  Lost Willow Park  fully upgraded

Black Ops:  1 serving any recipe
                                           catch 25 angel fish
                                            find seeds
help boss cater at City Hall
                                            dish contest
                                            deliver onions

6 BFFs   sorry I did not write down their names but I know Jon Lessen, her husband and Justin her son were two of them and I believe Mary Shallow and her boss were also best friends as was Dmitri Ivanov until he got nasty after she became an elder  (relationship later patched up and forgiven)  I'm really bad at names.  She still has quite a few best friends.

Spouse:  Jon Lessen who never achieved his LTW from taking time to do all that painting and sculpting for Winter

                        Unique LTR:  No Bills Ever
                                             Green Thumb
Food Replicator  (a second replicator was later provided by Justin's spouse, Aurora)

Justin Thyme:  only child and heir   Descendant of Da Vinci  (check!)
Traits: Born Salesman, Savvy Sculptor, Eccentric, Artistic, Perfectionist
                        SuperMax:  Painting
                        Max:           Sculpting
                        Max:            Inventing

                       Business:  Divisidero Book Store
                       Property:  Fish Hatchery

                                         Sculpt Wood
                                         Sculpt Stone
                                         Sculpt Metal

6 BFF:  Aurora, Joy Thyme, (Simbot daughter), Summer Thyme, (daughter), Kylie Winstead, Brandy Caudhill, Shauna Caudhill, Wu Pei

Spouse:  Aurora Shallow, achieved her LTW of 5 Star chef and much, much more, currently lvl 5 piano
                      Unique LTR:  Extra Creative
                                          Efficient Inventor
Observant  (he checks out possible dates for his daughter! lol)

Summer Thyme:  only child of Justin and Aurora,  no LTW as yet but will probably pursue music or writing
Traits:  (she is now a teen) Virtuoso, Good, Workaholic, Bookworm
Super Max and Max she's working on writing and music.  Go figure.

                                         Scholar's Garden koi
Repair for Emperor's thing, (can't remember name.  Had to find mercury)

                    BFF:  working on it

Business:   Wilsonoff Theater now renamed Jon Lessen Memorial Theater
Property:    Red Rendevous Hangout, now renamed Cameron's Rest, (resting place of Cameron, Winter's 2nd hubby)

                    LTR:         working on it

Although I have skipped much of her childhood, Summer was a smart and determined child.  She loved her books and she loved learning.  One of her favorite things to do was sit down with her dad and do homework with him, which he loved.  It certainly helped him become best friends with her.  She often would be found in strange places doing her homework with him or alone by herself.

She never failed to always complete her homework before she did anything else, yet she always had some time to just be a kid.

Even her play time often was related to her learning more.  Here she is working on her logic skill.

After a rough start in their relationship, Summer and Aurora began to slowly form a tight bond that would lead her to become best friends with her mom one day.  Here her mom is discussing writing with her and encouraging her to hone that skill as it could bring in quite a nice sum of money for the family.

Summer also spent time establishing relationships with friends.  She would often go to their houses and play with them, have serious discussions or do homework together.  You can tell in this next picture who is the serious student!  Jude Dotson is his name and he's a good friend.

He's a nice boy but his traits are not spectacular and he is older than Summer.  Still, possible spouse material since he is not a paper boy or baby sitter, and they do share a love of music.

Like the rest of the family she was often hounded by the paparazzi.  One day, as she was leaving school to go visit her friend Jennifer Juarez........

This upset and annoyed Winter so much that the landscapers and builders were called in.  Maybe they couldn't protect her from harassment at school but at least they could keep those nosy Parkers away from their home!

The tall fence, electronic gate and high barrier of trees certainly should give them a bit more privacy.  No more peeping toms peering in the window and scaring Summer.  (Although I admit, she was more than likely going to be the one to go out and greet them which almost always scares THEM away.)

I don't remember all his traits but I know loser was one and I believe coward was another.  He also had bookworm which is fine.

lily, yesterday I made a new friend.  An almost two hundred pound Irish wolfhound!  Now THERE is a guard dog!  I've wanted one for years.

I wouldn't want to see the look on my husband's face when I bring a wolfhound home!! We're talking about a Chihuahua/Terrier mix.  :D

Birthday Thyme!  It's birthdays at our house!  Dear diary I get so worn out from all the birthdays, but I must admit, even though the parties are hectic and a lot of work, they are also a lot of fun!  Everyone seems to love my parties and I usually get an almost epic rating on them.  Of course, we do have the usual one or two who are only mildly pleased, but hey, you can't thrill everybody!  I got lucky with the birthday plans for this one.  Fortunately Aurora and Summer both have their birthdays on the same day this year so I simply made it a joint party for both of them  Personally, I think neither one was terribly happy with that decision.  Aurora in particular would be less than thrilled since she was aging up to elder at this one.  Summer, realizing her mother won't be around forever, needs to get with the program and find out what it is between the two of them that keeps them apart.  Even when they are talking to each other there is a definite chill in the air.  Maybe Aurora resents the fact that Justin won't allow her to try for baby again, and now it's far too late.  Aurora looks happy in this shot.

But then reality sets in.  I must say she took it well. And a quick trip to the mirror can set the hair style to rights.

Summer's turn was next.  She really hammed it up for the candle thing.

She's quite the kid!  That's about it.  Out of birthday.

I've got two Chihuaha terrier mix dogs.  Both adorable and such funny personalities.  Different mixes for each one of them so very different.  One is sleek and looks almost like a miniature doberman.  He's the grumpy old man sort.  The other is still a puppy at less than a year old and quite the character.  Full of vinegar and into everything.  He's all white except for one patch over his eye and one on his ear so his name is Patches of course.  He's my dog.  The other one, Twitchy, (because he is very twitchy), is our kid's dog.  Both are rescues.  I'd love to have pets in Sims too although I really felt they were a pain in Sims 2.

Oh, dear heavens!  How could I forget?  The most important birthday of all was Justin's!  He aged up to elder one day before Summer and Aurora aged up and was able to have his first taste of ambrosia.  Aurora wanted to fix it for him but this was forbidden.  I wasn't sure I could trust her to not eat it herself, although is really a very selfless and caring girl.

It was a pretty big birthday bash.  Maybe that's why I was so tired when, the next day, it was the girls' turn.  We had a pool party this thyme and even hired a mixologist for the event.

Justin was so excited!  He knew he was going to be an old man when it was over but he had wanted to taste ambrosia since the first he saw me eat it.  All those shiney sparkles and rainbow colors when you finally get it all down!  I don't know whether it was the kid in him or the artist, but either way he was ready!  Even the butler and mixologist got into the party atmosphere.

Seeing him as an elder was like looking back into the past and seeing Jon again.  I really didn't realize how much they looked alike.
Of course, he had my coloring instead of Jon's but all the same Jon's features were definitely there.

If you are wondering what they are all thinking about, it's the change that came over Tameka.  One minute a normal, lovely woman, even is she was a paparazzi, and the next a hideous vampire.  I think it was Brandy Caudhill that got her.  Justin surely picked some strange friends.  Well, I knew they would not longer be on any of MY guest lists!

While they were still partying, Justin crept out to have some time alone with his sculpting table.

As for me, I was beginning to think I was about to have a new love interest.  Vee Saxer kept flirting outrageously with me!  He was a party crasher who stayed quite late.  I decided he would be great as a good friend but he was married and I'm no home wrecker.

Later I shared my woes with the mixologist and we became close friends.  Funny how sharing romance and disappointments can bond you together so quickly.

Finally everyone was gone.  All except Vee who fell asleep in my bed!  AS IF!  Anyway, ambrosia was made and Justin became the next official immortal.  Can you see how delighted and smug he was?

He made a trip to the bureau and mirror and, voila`!  The new Justin Thyme!

After taking a look at how terrible thin he was, he began to mutter about weight training and bulking up.  Well, we'll see how that goes.  No maxing athletics for you sir!

Good night, dear diary.  It's time for my nap.

@Lilygirl:  This party pad was actually set up impromptu.  I had to remove everything from their upstairs party area because no one would go up there!  I couldn't make the guests go up which was really silly since all the goodies were there including the bar, hot tub and a lot of entertainment stuff.  I just schlepped it all down so they'd have fun. lol

Next up:  Summertime as a teen.  Fashion show!

I was wondering whether this party pad was in addition to the roof top one. I guess not.
It's too bad when guest Sims don't behave as they should! Especially when we put in so much effort. :)

I know, huh?  Really, how rude of them! lol  It's ok, it just makes it a nice private play place and it's not that much trouble to shift things around for any other parties we might have.

FASHION REVIEW!

As promised, here is our lovely Summer Thyme wearing the latest in teen age clothing.

First up, what teen wouldn't like to have comfy and cool night time wear.  No more toddler onesies or child pj's for her.  It's silky smooth and a bit risque, yet modest enough for a teen.  Oh dear!  Our model forgot to make her bed this morning!

Next up we see our young lady of the house is ready to go keep that figure in good shape.  Here she is in one of her athletic outfits ready for a run around the neighborhood.  Don't forget your water bottle Summer!

After warming up with her run, Summer is ready to go to her Sim Fu lessons!  HIIIII YAH!

It's not quite time for the prom, but Summer has decided this outfit would be fine for the Home Coming Semi Formal.  I wonder who the lucky boy is who will be her date?  Ummm, Summer?  Glasses?  Really?  As a fashion statement?  Ok, if you say so.

Summer's school is ready for the annual fund raising car wash and Summer is ready to go.  What?  You'd actually wear this to school?  I'll have to think about that.

Summer's dad, Justin Thyme, has promised her a trip around the world and she is fully prepared for whatever challenges she'll face there.  Meet Summer, Tomb Raider!

Ready for her first day at Riverview High!  What a typical teen, from her dyed, blue tinted hair to her funky clothes.

Summer is ready for her first music recital.  Umm, Summer?  Can we tuck some lace into that cleavage?  Yes, I know.  We mother's do worry about such things.

For our grand finale, here is Summer wearing this year's top fashion in formal wear.  She's more than ready for the prom!

That's it ladies and gents.  Thank you for coming to our All Thyme Festival of Fashion for Teens.
