Sims are gone, household funds set to zero, can't open Sim panel.

My household funds are set to zero. The last time I saved the game, I had much more than 0 Simoleons. The happiness bar is lower than it was when I last saved. I have 3 Sims at University and none of their icons are showing up on the side. I can't open my Sim Panel. Here are some screenshots.
