Need help with refrigerator in Sims 3 Pets

Hello! My Sim has a high cooking and he went to the grocers to get food. The refrigerator was stocked up with ingredients.

Sims can not serve nor make meals. I sold the old icebox and got another, but it still doesn't work. Is there a way I can reset appliances like sims can be reset if stuck?

Try moving the fridge to a different spot in the kitchen. There could something you can't see blocking.

Found out what was wrong. One of the Sims used the coffee machine and put the cups on the counter. I had 3 counters in the kitchen: One for the sink, another for the coffee machine and the third for food preparation. Sims couldn't prepare meals because they had no counter to use. I had to use cheats to delete the coffee machine cups. I bought another counter and placed it next to the refrigerator.

Problem solved.
