Making a Museum, Need Some Opinions

I'm making a museum filled with every kind of fish, stone, gnome, invention, etc.  However, I was wondering about the inventions.  Would you think they'd look better as golden statues or as regular inventions?

Why not use all in one way or another? Personally i would love looking at stuff that doesn't look identical to the other things :) The different materials makes it so diverse,

Welcome to the forum, Mack Whitman. 

I agree with WickedSimmer that a variety of materials would be interesting, but really it's mainly personal preference, whichever you like best.  I'd love to see a picture of your museum when you get it done.  :)
