Launcher Crashing

** I posted this on the Sims3.com forum too, but I could use extra opinions and help.**

My launcher started crashing after a few seconds of opening. It works long enough for me to start up my game, but I can't update the game. I uninstalled and reinstalled my game and all of my expansion/stuff packs, and it didn't change anything.

Help!

Games I have:

Base Game
Pets
Late Night
Supernatural
Seasons
Diesel Stuff

The same thing happened to me. After it crashed I just had to try to open it a couple more times until it didn't crash anymore so I could start up the game. That's all I've got though, sorry I'm not more help.

I've tried that and it crashes every time.

Also, can you launch the game up at all? Here's a thread on how to bypass the launcher to launch the game:

Are you fully updated to the latest patch on the launcher (meaning, have you updated it yet, or can you not update it because of the crashing? If you can't update it because of crashing we may have to look into some other solutions to help get around the launcher).
As for a fix for the launcher, I'm not entirely sure until I can see some specs (and even then I'm not sure if it will mean much) so let's just see if we can figure this out.

I have windows vista.

The launcher works long enough for me to load up the game, but it crashes before I can update it.

When I load the game, it says I need to update it to log in, but when I go on the launcher, it says that it is up to date. I click the refresh button, but it crashes before it can refresh.

Hmm, so your main goal is that you're trying to get up to date but the launcher simply can't load it before crashing.
Have you tried the superpatcher possibly? It's normally used for patching multiple updates at once, but maybe it can help you with your crashing issue?
