Problem with Stairs

Can someone tell me how to make stairs so that the Sims can go into the basement? I made basement and put in stairs but the Sims dont want to use them. I tried watching videos, but they go so fast I dont know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Lyuba. I can try to help but first, are you building them through a foundation or are you trying to use spiral stairs?  And can you post a screenshot of the top of the steps?  That will help me figure out what's gone wrong.

Ok. So it looks like in one of those pictures you are going through a foundation which has a few challenges. I'm glad you figured out how to make them work. What 's your new question?
