Ok I just went and tried it .. the 'I' key did nothing but pull up your sim inventory during the options BUT when you go to the 'Capture' box before hitting the 'C' button hit the 'I' button and your capture window turns big.  Thanks guys I never would have known!  The things you can miss even after playing for years!

Right. "I" does not change size unless you are in Capture mode already. So, when your Sim and their subject are standing at the easel and the screen goes dark and you go into Capture mode, then you press I.

Yep, you would just press I one time to get to the large size from the default medium. If memory serves me large may become the default size then if you do not change it again. I am not sure. I may be getting confused with setting a camera's default size.

It does not change it, I wish it did. You have to change it to Large every time.

I'm not sure if I understand the term "hometown residents" correctly, does it solely include the sims who live in a household in this city?

I'm unsure if I should start participating in the tournaments but I might try the practice run and see how it goes.

@Tigerbalm — I deleted a portion of your question as it may have tipped off some players as to who to make portraits of. Anyways, to answer your question — basically anyone in your town qualifies. Anyone. Period. They do not need any type of qualification — if they are on your lot and you can paint a portrait of them, then they are considered hometown residents and you're golden.

  Yay! This looks fun and *much* simpler than the Bunch of Jobs and Rewards that I (finally) just finished. Hurray!!

After receiving a Pm I want to bring everyone's attention to this rules:

Your Sim can only have one easel on their home lot and all portraits must be done via clicking the Paint Portrait of...interaction on that easel (unlocks at skill level 7).

This means that all portraits are done on one easel which is located on your home lot. So no placing easels elsewhere,no using the easel at the fire station. This is your one and only easel.

@Rikki — thank you for participating. I am sorry that you accidentally broke a rule. Because you did participate you will be listed on the leaderboard as DNF.

Everyone — please read the rules carefully! One easel on your home lot. All portraits must be done on that easel. Period. I am not sure what the confusion has been so far, but I hope it's clear now.
