An Orphan's Life Chapter 12: Unanswered Questons

Thanks Nutella.

Hey it's me Gregory, after Jin died I asked Nicky the meaning of the Witch's last words but she said it was a long story and then flew off to bed before I could get another word in.

I went out to the tombstone of Sasha, and cried. I feel like I should've been there sooner and perhaps she'd still be here.

I transformed and howled, a howl of sadness. I couldn't believe this had happened. But at least Jin can threaten no one else anymore.

I transformed back and then went to bed.
My mind was full of what ifs, maybes, and whys but the biggest was the meaning of Jin's last words. I had heard of Piper Jenkinson. She's my great-great-great grandmother. Perhaps tomorrow I will know the truth of those words.

(Authors Warning: A lot more writing will be in this one than pictures, you have been warned  ;D)
This is Gregory again with a fact extravaganza about my family that not even I knew, I'll take a step back so you know how the day happened.

Nicky woke up and got some of my apparently delicious garlic bread out of the fridge.

Nicky decided to go outside to eat it...

Just like I did with a slice of cake that I bought for Sasha's birthday, I'm still feeling upset about the whole thing and I plan for a funeral today.  :'( I went outside just to clear my head as I always find being outside to be relaxing.

After we ate we both sat down on our sofa, both of us wondering how this conversation would turn out.

Nicky was unsure of how to begin, she told me she knew she was related to Piper Jenkinson but had no idea that I was.

I leant forward and told her what I knew about my family tree. First I talked about my parents, Scottie and Marina Jenkinson, my dad was a werewolf with incredible influence with the werewolves of Moonlight Falls, he was friendly rivals with Pappy Wolff who had recently died to Old Age a week ago. My mother was a bit full of herself but was very caring and a powerful magician and was enticing both on stage and off, she often had crazy hairdoos I loved to laugh about. It's shocking to think that they were burned to death by a fire caused by Jin.

Nicky reacting in disgust towards Jin

I continued my knowledge of my family tree telling her about how my Grandmother was very prideful of being both a witch and a fairy and that she believed that magic was a sign of power, my Grandfather was the fairy brother of Flora Goodfellow and took her surname when they married, despite that my mother did change her surname to Jenkinson when she married to the slight annoyance of Granny. I know my grandmother was the daughter of a male witch and a fairy and had a sister who died young to a meteor strike. My Great-Grandfather was fond of alchemy but I don't know much about him except hit grandmother on his father's side was none other than Piper Jenkinson.

Nicky then told me what she knew about her family tree, before me telling her my side of the family.
Apparently Piper had 2 children with her fairy husband and that second child was a fairy, they were very socially awkward and isn't well known by most due to her apparent lack of talent but not many people knew she had very strong magic potential that was genetic when she married Tom Snitcher and took his name, the son they had called Lennie inherited it and when he married Carley it was passed down to Nicky's mother, Malorie and down to her when she had a child with her husband, Ken. The magic was actually not a very easy thing to notice though it made the person innately able to use all fairy magic without having to get their body used to it first, though Nicky admitted she herself doesn't know what else the magic means for her. Her parents died when she was a teenager to getting crushed by their own bed, due to a sudden debt that her father had it meant she had to leave her home and become employed in Moonlight Falls babysitter company just to be able to rent a fairy house.

After all was told, we cuddled both relieved we weren't too closely related as that would be creepy.
I then thought about my plans for Sasha's funeral.

I went over to City Hall and Bought Eerie Park, the place where my parents were buried, and the place I want to put Sasha's Tombstone.
Meanwhile Nicky was taking a handiness class, I'm not sure why as Bonehilda is perfectly capable of repairing things.

After Nicky got out of the class, I... well the picture speaks for itself really ;D
After a few hours past I went to Eerie Park, the place where the funeral was being held just before it started.

Gator Wolff approached me with something on his mind.

He told me he was really sorry about taking Sasha's School clothes and didn't think the prank would upset her as much as it did, and that he felt bad for not being able to actually tell Sasha herself due to her spirit being forced back into the Netherworld.

I accepted his apology, after all, kids will be kids and I can't say I was completely innocent when I was younger, I got into a bit of trouble for throwing eggs.

Then I got up to the Podium, and spoke about Sasha

I told everyone how no matter how burnt her cupcakes were, she was a brilliant person and was very imaginative, I can definitely say I miss her now that she can't stay outside the netherworld as long, or as often as she did before.

Nicky got up and told everyone about how Sasha was a good sister-in-law, always coming up with a joke to lighten the mood during awkward encounters and that she was surprised at how quickly she disappeared.

The crowd was a bit unruly, I think Annalove still hasn't come to terms with her husband being a werewolf, she never believed they even existed before he became a werewolf.

Though the crowd was serious when it mattered.
People sat down on the picnic cloth and ate...

But I thought I could sense someone nearby...

But I turned around and there was no one to be seen, right behind me as I thought I could sense. Perhaps my werewolf senses were a bit over-sensitive that day.
After the Funeral, me and Nicky went home and started work on a wish we both had

I can say I had a fun night and I slept well.

After the Funeral I felt better about the way things were and I hopped on over to the shower while Nicky was sleeping.

I started making some breakfast calzaone for Nicky and myself.

So Nicky woke up to the smell of my cooking, but she didn't particularly like it. (Note to self: Don't make that dish for her in the morning)

So she had some leftover garlic bread I'd made and we decided to bet on which direction the sun would come up. We were both wrong.  ;D

I did decide to sell Jenna and replace her with a Renault Twizy that I called Reynaldo Timothy, Rey for short.

Nicky decided she wanted some skill in logic, I guess that handiness lesson yesterday was because she wants a wide array of skills.

The garlic bread did find its way into the toilet unfortunately, I'll tell you why later  ;)

I decided to go to Rainflower Ivy and begin working on my lifetime wish of being the leader of the pack as I have already turned 5 people into werewolves,

Nicky found out she was pregnant which is why she was vomiting, and perhaps why she didn't want the calzaone I made. I have a wish to have my first child and it looks like it's going to be fulfilled soon

And both of us got to reading the pregnancy books.

Rainflower was sprouting grey hairs for when Nicky would be pregnant, perhaps a bit too many.

Nicky wanted to learn gardening so we watched that channel until she learnt something new.

Then we both went to bed, together.

An Orphan's Life Chapter 16: A new kind of Trouble
« Reply #38 on: July 24, 2015, 04:03:11 AM »
Hey, it's Nicky here

I started the day with some Garlic bread because since I found out I was pregnant all I've wanted is garlic bread which is why I didn't eat Gregory's Breakfast Calzaone, in the background you can see Gregory's new car which is lowering our bills which is nice.

I definitely was growing in size since I was pregnant.

I broke the shower and I got Gregory to fix it since due to his neat trait and handiness skill he enjoys doing household chores, I got the best husband out of the draw as I will probably never ever have to do any of the cleaning while he's around.

He actually had to repair quite a few different things as plenty of things had broken.

I held the cute little teddy bear I got for our child, it was so soft.

Gregory and Bonehilda did a double team in cleaning the puddles.

While Gregory was making Garlic Bread for me as he had noticed how much I enjoyed it.

I was going into labor. I can surely say that it does hurt.

It sent Gregory and his werewolf friend Param into a panic, you'd think that it wouldn't scare 2 werewolves though.

But then they got tired of panicking and instead started dancing and that was good for me as it did my ears a world of good.

Say hello to Dylan.

Alongside his fairy brother James.

Needless to say I did eat some garlic bread afterwards.
Since they've just been born they haven't shown any overboard tendencies and we are also unsure as to what Dylan is, he could be ordinary, or he could be a werewolf like his dad or a witch like his auntie and grandmother, we'll see when they become toddlers.

Hey it's Gregory here

Holding both James and Dylan was wonderful.

I even used our new rocking chair with them.
I'm going to be sure I can be the best father I can to my children because I think they deserve a good life.

Nicky has been texting my werewolf friend, they were apparently friendly texts so she could gain more charisma.

In the mail we got 2 dolls from a so-called distant relative but I smelt them and I could tell right away that Gator Wolff must've sent them as I could smell his scent on them, next time I see him I'm going to have to thank him as the twins love the dolls.

Nicky has been working on her lifetime wish by working on her fairy magic and charisma.

Meanwhile I was hunting to complete my lifetime wish.

Nicky loved holding the babies close to her face I know how soft it feels to have them touch you.

While we were hunting, Nicky was just eating more of my Garlic bread, I'm going to have to make more.

Nicky decided to join the political career and her charisma is higher than it needs to be now, so I'm sure she'll succeed.

I may need to get actual stairs soon.

Here is when I completed my lifetime wish, it was such a wonderful moment to realize that I had done what I had wanted to do, I was clearly the leader of the pack.

I went to sleep but Param stayed past midnight so Nicky gave him a hint on what he should do by changing him into his sleepwear.

He was not amused by this.
It's going to be the babies toddler birthday's soon, good thing we got the potty training seats all ready and set up so that we can stop changing their dirty diapers constantly.
I think I'm going to be a stay-at-home dad as I'm sure Nicky can make enough money and if not I can always just go hunting for gems to sell.

Then I'm sure you'll like this chapter ;D

Gregory was snuggling James close to him.

While I got down the ladder to take Dylan to the cake while making sure James wasn't far behind. (Author note: the game insisted on having Nicky be the one to take them to the cake)

He aged up with my hair and a like for green

Gregory got straight to potty training Dylan

Meanwhile I was feeling a little hungry while James was at the cake

Mmm... Cake...

James aged up with my hair and a like for a slightly darker green and my wings.

I had to go to work in some of the worst uniform ever, I guess the town gossip was right about the Hoppcrafts being old-fashioned

We found that Dylan was a werewolf quickly after we realized our downstairs end-table had plenty of scratches at the bottom.

Gregory was also potty training James while this was happening.

After work I decided to let my hair loose and go to sleep.

Since that's when the twins decided they were tired, Gregory also joined me.
