Recoloring staircases?

Hey guys, I have another question here.

Today I built a lovely new house. When the house was done and I moved in my posh sims I noticed something that annoys me a lot...

When I was building the house, it seems that I failed to see what color stairs I placed... I turns out I placed purple stairs in a white themed house!!!! It looks horrible!

And no, I can't just remove them, and place new white stairs. The design of the house is such, that if I have to place a new staircase on the place of the old one, I'd have to bulldoze half of the house, place the stairs, and build it up from scratch again...

Is there a way to recolor the staircase? A mod or something?

In Buy or Build mode, you will find a button with a painters palette.  Click on this, then you can customize the stairs to any color you want.  If you have any other questions, or need clarification, just post again and I am certain someone will get you steered the right way.
