Baby number one looks like daddy?  Okay, guess we'll have to wait for an appropriate (read as:  beautiful like Tris) heiress  ;=)
Seriously, though, loved the update.  Nice clever twist with having the baby daddy be someone we didn't even realize was an option.  You trickster you!  Curious, though, does Samura approve of this new bloke who's moving into her house...?

I dunno, Isabelle make look like her daddy, but that's certainly not a bad thing. She grows up gorgeous! But then, so does her sister.  ;) Yes, secret option number three! Always fun to surprise people. Plus, her hitting it off with the bartender caught even me off guard, so I figured I'd write it into the story. As for Samura's approval, well, it's a big house. They could live together for ages barely running into each other in there!

Isabeal?

Whoops! I spelled her name two different ways, didn't I? It's supposed to be Isabelle. Good catch, and edited!

An excellent question--and one which, I suspect, it will take a long time to find out!  ;) Samura has never been a particularly romantic sim before, in both the failed and completed dynasties I used her in. But maybe that'll change this time around?

Good Enough

Next up was a round of birthdays.

Samura aged up with some extraordinarily hideous hair, but a return to her traditional style and a new array of outfits with her own customized pattern soon set her feeling to rights again.

Due to no one believing Tris's story about how a red skinned child had just "magic-ed" herself back into existence, Samura hadn't been able to attend school. It seems one needed things like documentation and proof of citizenship for that sort of thing.

As a result, she'd been left to age up with random traits--snagging natural cook as she aged up to a teen and . . . well . . . the flirty trait as she aged up to young adult! Meow!

Isabelle fared no better with the aging up gods, inheriting the puke green hair that plagues townies--but a little auburn dye fixed that. Where she got those blue eyes from is anyone's bet, but boy are they lovely!

She quickly charmed everyone into being wrapped around her little finger. One flash of those big blue eyes, and bam--you were a goner.

The family quickly swarmed around her to teach her her skills, change dirty diapers, or just sneak in some tickles.

Not even Samura could remain immune.

Tris gave birth to baby number two: a little girl they named Joslynn, rounding out and finishing out their nice little family of four.

Samura, meanwhile, set out to find a mate of her own, or at least a suitable baby daddy.

Evil Earnest was all too eager to make her acquaintance.

While some of the more perceptive bachelors seemed to know a little something about her identity.

But in the end, Samura decided to choose the most ardent of her suitors--Walter Lau-Kim, son of Jin Sang Kim and Annie Lau. He was on the yellow skin tone slider and of Asian decent, to boot.

Plus, bringing flowers to a first date? Never hurts!

They made for a cute enough couple, and seeing as Samura wanted to "have first kiss with" absolutely every man that she met (gee thanks, flirty trait), she decided he would do nicely.

Maybe it wasn't love, per se, or at least not true love. But that was alright; there was plenty of time.

Samura had already decided she wasn't going anywhere--at least not until this legacy business was done.

Whoa!  Samura!!  I'm pleased that she'll have a nooboo coming.  Mayhaps that will be how the Dojo line gets truly restored?  Really digging Samura's outfits!

What pattern is she wearing on the kimono and... Most of her outfits? I love it!

The pattern that Samura wears is in Themed. It's in the same spot as a lot of the other floral patterns. It looks great on her! I don't know if I'm rooting for her child to be red or yellow-skinned, though I am rooting for yellow eyes, of course.

Woot!  Go Samura!  I always seem to forget how gorgeous she is, then I see a screenshot and then I get reminded once again.  Can't wait to see her nooboo!  Or how Tris's little ones turn out!

It seems that some rebellious style suits her just as well, if not better than traditional Chinese clothes. I can't imagine our dynasty founder Samura dressing such a revealing nightie, so Tris has definitely taught her some lessons about life as it is nowadays.

Yes, one of Samura's sons will have to marry one of Tris's daughters so that the Dojo line inherits the house. There will be two of each to choose from. Hm, maybe I'll ask readers to vote for their favorite couple? I haven't decided yet.

Trip is correct. Samura's pattern is one of the themed floral ones; I just recolored it to suit her.

I don't know if I'm rooting for her child to be red or yellow-skinned, though I am rooting for yellow eyes, of course.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about the yellow slider, to be honest. Some of the shades on it are really pretty, others are a little garish for my taste. Yellow eyes are always welcome, of course!

I've spent a lot of time looking at Samura over the years, and she's a sim I'm still satisfied with even after all this time. I think my only regret is not taking care to make sure her features look good on the opposite gender. Samura's features don't make for the most handsome of man sims (think Nolan).

It seems that some rebellious style suits her just as well, if not better than traditional Chinese clothes. I can't imagine our dynasty founder Samura dressing such a revealing nightie, so Tris has definitely taught her some lessons about life as it is nowadays.

I'm glad that this time around I have that Japanese store set for her everyday and formal outfits! I didn't have that when I first created her, so I had to use the Chinese dress instead of the kimono. It's nice to finally put her in her "rightful" atire--since she's supposed to be Japanese in my mind. Samura is flirty now, so I think the nightie is a good fit: a little more risque than something she would have worn, but more covering than some of the other lingerie options.  ;D

Growing Pains

Joslynn aged up into a toddler, looking every bit like her mother as far as features are concerned and snagging her grandmother Trang Pham's pink streaks in her hair to boot. I don't think it's the same color pink, but I honestly don't have a better explanation as to how she got them.

The two girls had only one day to enjoy being toddlers together.

Then it was time for Isabelle to grow up, don frilly dresses, and head off to school with the other children. Isabelle found that she could win over her school mates with her charms just as easily as her family--but then, when you're charismatic and have a great sense of humor, maybe that's no surprise.

Joslynn was an energetic little toddler. She learned to walk in no time and promptly set off at full kilter toddling around the house.

It took a lot to tire her out, but when she finally slept not even a thunderstorm could wake her up. She needed to recharge after all that running around, after all.

Samura gave birth to a baby boy, who she named Gavin.

He was instantly taken to the cake for his first birthday. He inherited his father's brown eyes and his grandmother Annie Lau's purple streaked hair color.

Gavin was happy and energetic--always on the go with a smile on his face.

Samura held him close, breathing in the freshly powered scent of nooboo, and decided she enjoyed being a mom again.

So much so, in fact, that she decided to try for another! Walter was easy to persuade.

She was thrilled to learn of their success--until the cramps set in extra hard.

Was she just getting older? Or was this one destined to be a thorn in her side?

Samura is just as pretty as ever. It was interesting seeing her life through child- and teen-hood, although it's probably best that she wasn't too rebellious. c; Gavin and the girls are adorable!

Both Tris and Joaquin's girls are absolutely cute. I've got a feeling Isabelle will be the traditional little mommy and daddy's girl, studious, smart and quiet, and Joslynn will cause more trouble, be rebellious, sparkly and short-tempered.

Thanks! I plan to have plenty of fun drama and romance in store for this generation.

You're already shipping! You haven't even seen everybody yet!  ;) Well, we'll see if it sticks or if you change your mind once all the players are on the field.

Samura's far too good and proper to ever be truly rebellious--even though doesn't actually have either of those traits. Just, you know, as I see her in my head. Still, I figured it would be fun to at least let her get into a few antics.

I think you're absolutely right about that.  ;)
