Is hail deadly?

I just got Seasons and am wondering if being 'bludgeoned' by hail can kill my Sims, like in Sims 2. Does anybody know for sure? I haven't seen any documentation about it either way, but it was mentioned in a Let's Play video I was watching recently, and now I'm worried about sending my dynasty founder (a gardener) outside! Thanks for your help.

I've never seen sims killed by hail in TS3, so I think your gardener is safe. :)

I never ever bother to bring my Sims inside when it's hailing, and I've never had one killed by hail. Maybe the person meant meteorites?
