Science Experiment skill challenge
« on: February 21, 2014, 10:07:45 PM »
I have a sim who is trying to supermax the science skill. According to the text for the Scientific Experiment challenge, he needs to do 100 experiments on the Research Station or the Group Science Project. So far, I haven't had any interactions for the Group Science Project that are experiments, and the 3 that I get (the blue, red, and green) don't count as experiments. He's at level 10. Does anyone know what is meant by the experiments on the Group Science Project?

Experiments are available with the small, standard-issue research stations. You should get a few options with them, as shown:

Experiments will be available depending on what your sim has in their inventory. Horticulture experiments require a fruit or vegetable, herb experiments require an herb, etc.

Also, because you're supermaxing the skill, herb experiments seem to have the least chance for failure, from my experience. Buy a stack of herbs and keep queuing up herb experiments!

Yes, but that's not the Group Science Project.  Do you have any information for that one specifically?

That's what I get for answering questions before bedtime. :P

From everything I heard, all of the interactions with the Group Science Project should count towards the total, but if they're not, than maybe it's a glitch? I can't say that I've ever used the thing and watched how many experiments were completed before and after. Nor was I able to find anyone reporting it not adding to the experiment total.

Does 'objects created' count towards Science Experiment skill challenge?
