This will probably be my last update for a little while, as I have now almost caught up to where I'm at in game.
With Riley completing her requirements (albeit not entirely according to the rules), she and Teodor at last get busy creating the heir.
It takes them two tries, but in the end, they look rather satisfied.
So the rest of the family waits.
I don't know what is with this girl and her trash can. She is constantly knocking her own over and obsessing over it.
Teodor has some fun in his pool...
And I decide to keep Rubisel around for a long while. As the founding father here, I guess he deserves to be immortal too. I'd feel really bad for him to die and leave Scout behind. After her heroic effort in saving him from Grimm, it only seems right to keep him. He uses his lifetime points to buy an Age Freeze potion. He will be known as Gramps from now on. I suppose with 7 heirs, I will still have an eighth spot available for him. I will just need to make sure the 6th heir is a girl so she doesn't have to marry. I see lots of watermelon in generation 5's future. I don't know if I am screwing myself by doing this or not, but now that I'm not HoF eligible, I guess I don't have to worry about it! I cross these bridges when I get there.
I am just going to get right to the point here rather than upload a ton of pregnancy photos. After all, my only pregnancy photos of Marci were at the resort and I never sent Riley there, so I have nothing interesting she did to cover the wait. Riley goes through the whole ordeal like any other Sim - mostly watching tv and playing guitar for fun now that she has nothing else to do - and then Trent enters the world with a wave hello. Trent's name starts with a T in honor of his father, if you recall I had decided to do that for each generation.
At this point I am not sure whether or not he is a mermaid. We treat him as if he is and work on best friend status with both parents just in case. His mood bars are regular green, not blue... His traits are Loves the Outdoors and Athletic. He likes Latin Music, Tri Tip Steak, and the color red.
This poor child has been blessed with two evil parents, so they are constantly stealing candy from him.
Teodor: hahahaha, that was so easy it's pathetic...Poor Trent is wailing by himself on the floor and Gramps just lays in that rocking chair sleeping and being useless!
Riley: Ow! Let go of my hair!I about had a heart attack when I saw her do this. This is where that saying "raised by wolves" comes from. Because Riley actually WAS raised by one... and this is not appropriate behavior when dealing with your newborn. Sims raised by normal people would actually know this, but no, not Riley.
But regardless, this wolf is thrilled to be a grandma.
Marci: So tired... can't stop holding grandbaby...So with Trent in the care of two evil people, I send Marci and Rubisel out of the house for a little while. I never mentioned Rob moving out like I did Rory. Which is odd for me, because I kind of favored him. He actually moved out shortly after Riley's wedding. So I decide to take these new grandparents to visit their eldest and see how he is doing. I had purchased the property directly across the street for Rob, and built him his very own house. Although I left it rather undecorated and absolutely no landscaping at all...
Upon arrival, we see that Rob takes after his mother in regards to the trash can.
Oh, Rob, what are you wearing.
While he has a chat with dear old dad, I go snooping around his house. Here is his kitchen:
With a little nook type area for computers:
On that note, I wish the game offered floor to ceiling cabinets/pantries. Just for looks. I had to use wardrobes to achieve the look I was going for, and I only halfway achieved it, it looks a little funny seeing as they aren't real cabinets.
The dining room is right off the kitchen:
And the living room is quite small, but as a technophobe, Rob doesn't need much space for anything fancy. I don't know why I even bothered to give him computers.
Since moving out, Rob has gotten himself a girlfriend (Julian's sister, in fact!) and adopted a stray dog named Ursa. Here is the dog. The girlfriend wasn't there, but I can say that it is actually the little brunette girl that attended his sleepover when they were children.
Rubisel gives Ursa a treat. I saw no dog bowls in the house, so I was kind of worried the dog might run away or something. I don't play Rob since he moved out. So Rubisel fed her a little just in case... However, Ursa seems to be quite smart. She senses something about Rubisel...
As soon as Trent becomes best friends with his parents, we waste no time in aging him up. Please note the elusive Rainbow B utterfly in the back corner that Riley never could catch. That one is one Marci found easily back when she was doing her collecting. In fact, it was one of the first things she found and I didn't even realize it was as rare as it was because of it. You may have noticed it before in my past screenshots, and I can't tell you how frustrating it was to look at that thing while Riley hunted for her own in vain.
I was excited to see that Trent is, in fact, a mermaid. There will only be one child this generation rather than 3 like last time! For now, I am considering him for Fishing and a sports career. I guess he could garden but I'd like to wait until I have a fairy or a green thumb (if I get lucky). His mood bars are still green, so I don't know when they will turn blue. Probably when he is old enough to handle his own hydration. Trent looks a lot like his mama. He definitely got her eyes, both shape and color. I'd make a bet that he will have her hair color too. It's short now, but his eyebrows look exactly the same color. I believe he might also have her mouth but I'm not sure, Riley's lips as a child were nowhere near as big as they became.
He gets new clothes at the dresser. His favorite color is red. So I dress him in red and a sea green mermaid color. An interesting combination.
Now that I have a mermaid, I keep trying to turn the fire off and somebody, I'm not sure who it is, keeps lighting it again! I am not sure if Trent looks so uncomfortable here because of the fire, or because he just realized his grandma is a monster.
In other news, I tired of the striped curtains. Between the pattern and the shape of the curtains themselves, it was just looking like way too much vertical. So the living room curtains got a makeover. I like this pattern a lot more, but I probably need to play with the colors in this room a little to make it truly work. I like it better than before, though.
That's all for now.
