« on: February 13, 2014, 06:01:37 PM »
How may time do we suppose to receive a university welcome kit?

In a save I played in DV, during 3 weeks and so on days I have receive about 12 university welcome kit. Which is never happened in my other game in other city.

I have this DV for quite a time but I just played it lately. So I don't really know if there is any difference between this town and another..

Twelve welcome kits in the same household?  Did the mascot come each time?  I've only ever had one kit arrive per household.  I don't usually play in DV, but I can't think of any reason why things would be different there.  ???

I keep having the mascot come to my household too, multiple times, but that household is in Sunset Valley. I think it's a bug that can happen regardless of what world you're in.

Kind of sucks, though. The camera pans to that stupid mascot every time he or she comes around, and I'd rather not have random camera movement.

Yup! same household. Nobody aging to teen or adult, and today the mascot have come again. So, it thirteen kit now.

My other save in SSV had multiple kit too. But it only came once there is a kid age up to teen. So, in SSV I had two uni. kit.

I've gotten more than one kit in my current game, which has never happened for me.  Not 12 yet, but I'll see how it goes.  What do you do with the kits that arrive?  I've put mine into inventory, but I'm wondering if leaving it out on the porch will keep more from coming.

Well, I put it in family inventory or sell it immediately since I don't plan any of them to go to university. I have no idea if that could actually affect the keep on sending kit issues...

I don't do much of anything with the kits, and I continue to receive them. In one game I have 4 of them lined up along the front of the lot next to the mailbox.

I've tested it now.
Apparently placing the kit on your yard doesn't shoo away the mascot.

Now, what do I have to do? Not that this is an urgent matter or life death situation, but it is really annoying that the camera would always suddenly move just to zoom on the useless mascot!!

I receive a visit from the mascot every time I load a game that has eligible Sims in the household. I just pause, find out the mascot's name, and use the ResetSim cheat to send him away.

The baskets can be sold. Or, for that matter, bought - so don't worry that you're sacrificing your chance to take the aptitude test by selling the kits, if you decide to go to University some day.
