I apologize if this has been posted in the forums before, but I made a discovery that I don't think is in the Guide while I was playing my ghost artist the other day. She had just reached level 6 in the Art Appraiser career. The promotion notification said that there was something called "Advanced Art Training" at her workplace. So, I got curious and sent her there. I received an opportunity to create a painting and deliver it back to work. Technically, it was a work opportunity, but it didn't have a deadline like other work opportunities do. I had her create a large painting and take it in. There was another opportunity after that, which required a painting above a certain value. Playing with a ghost sim, it was pretty easy to get there, since the death bonus for paintings is immediately applied. After
that opportunity was finished, this notification popped up:
At first, I just thought it was weird, and kept going with my Advanced Art Training. The opportunities had me paint a brilliant, and then a "masterpiece" painting (The opportunity said a painting over $1500, and it didn't have to be considered masterpiece.) After that, the opportunity chain ended. And now, when my sim clicks on the easel, this is what it looks like:
So, my painter sim can now paint guaranteed masterpieces.
I thought it was pretty cool for artist sims. But, University is required, along with a max Rebel influence to unlock the career.
