Update to 1.67

I haven't played the Sims 3 for a few months. I started it today and it said an update was available, but when I clicked to update it just stayed paused and wouldn't download. I've had a look at the official support pages and am a little confused. It mentioned a Super Patcher, but when I tried to download it it said "Forbidden".

What is the easiest way to update my game files? I have 6 or 7 expansions, but if I have to I will uninstall them all and install them again...

Patching through the launcher never works for me. I always download mine and patch manually. You can download the patch from Crinrict's Sims 3 Help Blog. The patch on that page is to patch from update 1.66 to 1.67 or you can download the Super patch which is also listed on the page I linked to.

Thanks, I found out from trying your link that something on my PC was blocking the exe download. By disabling a part of my security software I was able to get it working. In fact the game launcher now works too!
