Woah...This just doesn't make sense.

I made two Sims, who were boyfriend and girlfriend. I killed the girl by starvation with testingcheats, and brought her back with the "Oh My Ghost!" opportunity. They had a daughter, who, to my somewhat disappointment, was a regular sim. When she was a toddler, I thought it would be romantic to teach her to walk in the same place they had gotten married. The ghost mother picks up the toddler... the NORMAL SIM toddler... and passes right through a wall holding her. How'd she pull that one off?

Because she is magically amazing...
Probably because the game registers that the mom is a ghost so she can go through walls, not that the toddler is a normal sim. So it must not realize it because the mom is in motion and not so much the child.

Different medias show people grabbing ont ghosts and managing to go through walls, so why cant the toddler in her mother's arms? That is weird, though. Beddy's probably right. Silly programming...At least they didn't add a animation where the toddler gets knocked to the floor. That would be funny for us, but painful for the kid.
