Is Fast Lane worth getting?

I just picked mine up from Best Buy. To my knowledge all it is is more cars, the ability to build a big garage and one new trait. So, it's not much. I'm sure I might have missed a thing or two — I think there's special fashion stuff too. It's $20. And the boss (Mrs. Metro) did not say no.

I will let you know soon. I bought it and went to install it, but my cd-rom eject button doesn't work. On the phone with Dell right now. They did teach me how to right click to eject, but I want my button to work.  Fingers crossed that I can take a gander at my new stuff soon..

Yeah, I debated too, originally, but had decided to get it. Which is just as well, since my game won't work since I installed the update.    Hopefully installing FL will fix the problem. My mom is being a real sweetheart and going down to the local Walmart to pick it up while I get ready for my doctor's appointment. Back to the topic, though: new clothes and hair? Want it! You'd think I really liked to play with dolls as a kid.    As for cars, I've been happy with 'the Beast', but new cars could be cool.

I can get it for £8 - £10 online so I guess I should ask my mum, maybe not now as she shouted at the dog for whining because she is working... (Before you ask, my dog always whines, mostly for no reason, she just lies there whining all day.)

The patch notes kind of weirded me out about this one, Sims can now have a relationship with their car?  That's just so bizarre!

My mom used to call our last car (the one that got totalled while it was at the repair place!) "Old Blue" but I don't think she was that into it. She's just quirky.

I love the new stuff!  A little disappointed that there were only 2 new adult female hairstyles.  The new dresses are gorgeous. Haven't looked at the CAS for males yet. The cars are awesome.  The grand prix looking car is almost 200k though.  The new decorations are neat.  You can have a very realistic looking garage now.  There is even a traffic cone! But these 2 decorations are my favorite!

Watch out for those pesky gnomes.

It's a stuff pack...what you'd expect from a stuff pack.   Actually I'd call this one, a stuff pack for guys.

And one new skill that seems completely useless.

I love the new stuff!  A little disappointed that there were only 2 new adult female hairstyles. 

There are new old-style helmets (the same ones for both genders) if you look under hats. If you're wearing a racing outfit, it should complete the look nicely.

My very sweet husband went to target last night and got it for me while I put the kids to bed! There are some pretty new dresses and some neat garage decorations. But I think the main thing is a lot more cars. If you like your sims to have cars than I think you would really like this pack. I don't actually use cars very often but I really like having all the expansion and stuff packs

Give hubbie a bickie! Whatever that means in your household.  I've been playing Challenges of late which means I haven't been building up the money for cars. I'm thrilled to death when I can afford a Beast. Faster than the cars in its price bracket and if you have an Eco-Friendly Sim, they're pleased, too. I had decided to get FL, but if I had any doubts, I overcame them when installing the Update (which I assume they're not calling a Patch because it doesn't fix much) kept me from playing the game. I felt really bad since I was (among?) the first to bring it up and link to it (thank you to whomever fixed it into an actual link and not just an URL!) on the forum. I never did SPs with S2 because there seemed a lot of talk of 'if you don't install them in the order they came out vis a vis the EPs your game will be messed up.' and I was buying EPs out of order. I guess this time I'm more engaged as they're coming out and I don't want to miss anything.

I'm waiting for it to be released tomorrow here in the UK, and I'm sure I'll be getting it - just like I've gotten every stuff pack & expansion since Sims2 - I'm a sucker for this stuff.

I do like it, so I'd say it's worth it. However, I want to fully test it with a new car loving family. I may make a mechanic garage esk building and have a car loving couple live there.  It'll be fun.
