Unable to save game - Please help

Yesterday & today I have been unable to save my game. I'm playing ITF which I've played severall times befoe now with no problem. It starts to save, and the save bar is turning but it just keeps going and doesn't save. I have tried a different game and that saved fine. But this one that isn't saving is my oldest game & one I keep coming back to and the one I'm playing ITF with.

I have cleared out my Featured Items folder, CASPartCache.package, compositorCache.package, scriptCache.package & simCompositorCache.package Which I do daily to help free up space and have done this for months.

I haven't downloaded or installed anything new in the last 2 days.

Please help as I can't really play at the moment, well I can but I have to re do everything I've done, which is ruining the game for me.

Do you get an error message when trying to save?  If so, what does it say? If you can give that info, we can better search out the problem.

If you find that you're not getting an error message, try the tips in the thread above.

Thanks MrsFlynn, I'll have a look at the link. I miss Brappl & her help, she helped me hugely with my game, but she's left the site.

No, I don't get an error message. It's weird because it was ok until 2 days ago. Very odd.

I'll look at the link and see if it helps. I'll let you know.

I've sorted it. Hooray.
I read the link and used that as my guide.

This is what I did, in case anyone needs help :-
1, copied and pasted my saved games to a memory stick
2, deleted all the original saved games
3, copied the corrupted game's backup game back to the 'saves' folder
4, renamed it, removing the backup part of the name
5, started the game up, played, & saved successfully
6, copied all saved games back to 'saves' folder

Thank you MrsFlynn for pointing me in the direction of the link I wouldn't have thought to do this without reading that.
