The Sims 3.com, 1,850 simpoints?
« on: September 04, 2010, 10:47:29 AM »
Unless I misread this I somehow have 1,850 simpoints! I'm sure that you can't have almost 2 simpoints so I believe that 1,850 stands for 1850. How did this happen? I haven't buy any simpoints in my life, only I got some when I buy an expansion.
Does anyone have this too? Or is this a mistake on the page? I really hope not! Cause I like to give people simpresents sometimes. :D

The only way I've every gotten simpoints is by buying them.  How did you get so lucky, Leto?  Tell us your secret!  :D

Wow, you must have gotten a glitch or something. Just go with it. ;)
I'm sure that you can't have almost 2 simpoints so I believe that 1,850 stands for 1850.
English-speakers use a "." to show decimals, not ",". They use "," to make it easier to see if it is a thousand or not.
In Swedish (don't know how it's in Dutch), we'd write it as "1 850", but I guess it's possible that you Dutch have the same thing I have.

In Holland we just say 1850, not 1 850. When it is 1,850 in holland it means that it is almost 2, with an difference of 0,150. But because I got the feeling this whole thing changes in America, and The Sims is American by origin, this all confuses me.
I've checked the site a few seconds ago and nothing changed, so I am still rich. :P
Unless the European simpoints (if something like that even exists) are worth more compared to the American simpoints, just like the Euro in comparment to the dollar, I still don't know what's going on.

Like I said: I like it more buying things for others with my points than for myself. So maybe EA noticed that and treated me like a sort of Dutch Santa Claus perhaps. :P

I like this topic to be open for a while. Maybe someone else has a clue, because sorry Schipperke, but I don't have any secret in how to get those points. ;)

Not yet. Shall I? ;) Tell me your nickname over there and I will try this on you, if you have anything in your wishlist. ;)
Just a cheap thing, to test this out.

I'm Happytime on the Sims3 site, as well, Leto. I'll head over there now and put something in my Wish-List-thingy.

I thought I already added you as a friend over there. But I guess I was wrong. Anyway: you will receive two mails now. One for the friend invite (which you 'must' confirm, :P) and one for the reminder of a gift from someone.
That someone will be me.

Edit: I now have 1,775 simpoints. So I do have a lot to spent, and I'm still rich! :D

Thomas, EA/Sims 3 actually has a birthday package they started sending out a few weeks ago.  Members that have their game(s) registered will receive an email on their birthdate to download the following items:

Myself - I think these items are cute, but I would rather have simpoints!  ;D

hehe Lady,

Before I go off all half-cocked and shoot myself in the fingers, mouth, and foot ... I'm off to check muh e-mail to see if muh Birthday Present from EA's there (I've registered a ton of games with EA, they know my birthday, and it was yesterday). it's sure not in my Sims3 Messages place!

 :D
