I think I was told the console versions have tons of glitches. I didn't notice it as much until I started playing The Sims 3 for my PS3 when I got it for Christmas. I would have my sims cook food and they would act like something was in the way for them with the stove, the counter, and the food processor. They would have the "no sign" with food prints around it meaning they can't get to it, even though they have plenty of space to move and nothing is blocking their way. I moved things around in the kitchen until they were able to use the kitchen stuff. It was fine, then they did it again. It aggravates me. It wasn't like that before (when I first started). I am just annoyed because I keep rearranging and when it works, the next time I cook it doesn't work.
