I tried looking it up and even found a wiki that states the history of the goth family and which game they appear in. I also found out that each The Sims game that's made is a prequel the one that was released before that. That's interesting. I also didn't know that the Goth family had such a rich history. I just thought they were a Goth family that appeared in each game as sort of a cameo or easter egg, because they were in the game before that...well at least on console.
So it seems the Goth family isn't on the console version. Why did they put them on PC but not console? From what I read, The SIms 3 goes far back into the Goth family's history with the Goth family being the first family there and the family having the biggest and most expensive house and Mortimer Goth is a child. Interesting...
According to the Sims Wiki, there isn't a Goth family in the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions, but there's a Goth household in the DS and Wii versions. (although they're two different families) Why they aren't included, I have no idea, since the Goths are probably the most iconic Sims family.
Although the Sims 3
is a prequel to the first two games, the Sims 2 is a direct successor to the Sims. The chronological order of the games is Sims 3--->Sims----->Sims 2. Mortimer gradually gets older throughout the three games, from a child in 3 to an Elder in 2.
