Actually, I meant details about Tess's LTW. Sorry, that wasn't really clear.
Oh, those details.  She has to gather together a collection of relics valued at over $20,000.  Therefore, a lot more visits to the WA destinations will be in the cards.

I don't even remember what Tess had as a LTW... I voted for her cuz she's just totally awesome and she also knows gnomes are more than decoration *tilts head and listens* oh, right, they not supposed to know that... My bad  :-X
Gnomes.  I've so ignored them in games up until Tessa.  It will be fun working them into her storyline that much more.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--The Tessa Takeover
« Reply #361 on: May 28, 2014, 10:08:52 PM »

This update is narrated by Tessa.
"And the gnomes."
Really?
"Yes, magic talking gnome in the sky, say 'and the gnomes.'"
(Sigh) And the gnomes.

"While mother was painting landscapes with squid tentacles,"

"and Jessamine was doing whatever it is that Jessamine seems to always be on the phone doing,"

"I was working on the magic pulling stick of muscularity, for I alone knew that far away, in Gnome, Alaska, which we all know is the capitol city of the Holy Gnoman Empire, plots were being schemed and schemes were being plotted."

"I returned from our trip to some Chinese place in China to meet in council with my Gnome-nipotent advisors.  Things were in the works.  Things and stuff."

"I was awakened early the next morning, which was convenient as I was sleeping at the time.  I was to get the household ready as the gnomes had arranged for a special visitor."

"The special visitor was the very plain, boring, and funny-nosed Malcolm MacDuff.  My sister, Jessamine, has been in love with his house since the first time their eyes met, which is weird, because houses don't have eyes."

"Meantime, I was sent into the workshop to construct one last invention before my exit from this household.  I'm not sure why the gnomes want this item built, but I do know that, despite my not being a legal adult, this is not breaking child labor laws, because the gnomes told me so."

"That night, they sent me to the house of some silly-named people:  the Crumplebottoms.  I giggled."

"The boy I met there was as dreamy as Freddy from Scooby-Doo!  I said, 'Hi," and then he said,"

"'Hi," and then I said, 'Hi," and he said, 'I just said that', and then I said,"

"'That's what you said.' Yep.  That's what love sounds like."

"Things were being put into place for me and for Jessamine.  However, I was still worried for my mother."

"The genie from the lamp that the gnomes had conveniently placed in the catacombs to be found by my alleged father who's actually my brother, but kind of also my stepdad, but not anymore, because they divorced and he doesn't even pay child support or anything, but we don't really need it because mom's really well off and...well, I forgot what I was saying, but she thought the gene was pretty."

"Pretty in a manly way.  However, mom still didn't have a twin, and we all know she's very twin-dependent, but the gnomes had a plan for that too as well."

"Carmel Halo.  Or something like that.  Anyway, she was exactly the sort of friend mom needed:  homeless and desperate to belong."

"They very literally hit it off, and then Carpel Hunnel agreed to move in.  To the house.  With mom.  Which was convenient, because Jessie was just about to age up and marry the house of her dreams."

"The sparkles went with her outfit really well.  Then she changed her outfit."

"I liked her new outfits, and the gnomes assure me that she and her new house will be very happy with her husband."

"After Jessie left, the gnomes serenaded me with a tune called 'Smooch the Boy' while I chatted casually with freddy...I mean, Timmothy.  Timmothy Crumplebottom hahahahahahaha!"

"Meantime, Capulet Hand freaked out my dadbrother by casting a spell on him.  It was a kissy spell.  I don't want to talk about it.  The gnomes said it would be improper."

"While Timmothy was not yet ready to age up, I was.  As they say, time waits for Gnome-man."

"Timmothy tells me my young adult wardrobe is stunning."

"I found that inaccurate as him being stunned would have left him basically unconscious, and he wasn't.  Anyway, I think he lied to me trying to be sweet, so I gave him a kiss on the forehead."

"The gnomes told me it looked kind of awkward.  Ah well.  As soon as he ages up, we'll be married and go on adventures in other countries to steal relics and rack up massive loot and we'll have beautiful children who are as attractive as they are good-looking and gnomes will sing our praises for generations to come."
And thus, thankfully, ends the narration of Tessa.
"And I have gnome more to say about that."
(Sigh)
"And here are more gnomes!"

"Hitchhiking their way to Gnomaha."
The end.

Her name is Carmella Hai, not Carmel Halo, Carpel Hunnel or Capulet Hand. Tessa, that's pretty rude.

It just seemed like a Tessa thing to get the name wrong, but never the same way  :=)

Choked on my coffee when I read Carpel Hunnel. Thanks - it was worth it.
Thanks.  And sorry  :=)

Haha Tessa should be a lot of fun for this next generation. Hopefully she does better at relationships than her mom!

Well, Mal didn't exactly have the best role model in Ari.  Tessa will be better at relationships simply because I don't think you can be much worse than the grandma who cheats on the enslaved first husband before sending him to ruin another marriage, then marries a pseudo-cousin just to get a higher work position, then kills off said pseudo-cousin and his/her grandfather so she can be the sole empress of evil.  Besides, Tessa thinks Timmothy looks like Freddy Jones.  She also thinks that's a good thing.

Ah, the woes of teen-adult romance. And slopes. Slopes don't work well with kisses either. Oh, and I'm glad to see that Tessa is able to let her sister go, unlike Mal.

Yeah, she may just have to cake him.  In terms of the twin separation, I think Tess may have been too gnome obsessed to notice that the other grey girl who shared her birthday was actually her twin.

Yes, "crackers" is a nice way to put it.  I think that I may have enjoyed writing that particular update more than any other in this legacy thus far.

I can't even count the number of times I giggled while reading this. Holy Gnoman Empire really got me. Oh Tess, how I love you.

Thanks!  Glad you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.  The screenshots are all done for the next update, I just have to get it all put together and then nitpick it excessively before I actually post it.  That tends to be how I do things.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Tessa's Wedding
« Reply #374 on: June 06, 2014, 11:18:23 AM »

Pippin:  Welcome to the Schlick-Wainwright household.  A normal, down-to-earth family.

Mal:  Are you enjoying having an affair with my ex-husband, replacement twin?
Camella:  Oh you betcha!
Pippin:  Or not so normal.  But we join them on a very important day for the newest heir.

Tessa:  I have made a gnome-size time machine!
Pippin:  Actually, that isn't what's important about today.

Tessa:  Here I go, gnome family.  Time to get a piece of paper forbidding me to ever return to high school!
Pippin:  That's not what a diploma...actually, in your case, you may receive a restraining order along with the diploma, so yeah.  Anyway, Tessa's classmates voted her most likely to save the world.  However, graduation and the dubious nomination of world's savior were not what made today special either.  It was something that happened after she returned from graduation, made the time machine Sim-sized and changed into her formal attire.

Tessa:  Thank you for giving me a ride in your police taxi!
Both drivers:  You're welcome.

Tessa:  Hi Freddy!
Timmothy:  Umm, my name's Timmothy...
Tessa:  Mind if I throw this potion at your feet?

Bianca:  My little Timmothy's getting all grown up.
Tessa:  And my Freddy is old enough to marry!
Bianca:  Wait, what?

Tessa:  Will you marry me, Freddy Jones?
Timmothy:  My name's...oh, never mind.  Of course I will!
Tessa:  Good, now I should go ask your mother for your hand in marriage.
Timmothy:  But I already said yes.
Tessa:  But your hand didn't, silly!

Tessa:  Can I marry your son's hand?
Bianca:  Can you...what?
Tessa:  Thanks!  Now here's a token of my appreciation!

Bianca:  What did you just throw at me?
Tessa:  Youngness!

Tessa:  And now we dance the do-si-do of youngness!
Bianca:  You...you gave me my youth back!
Tessa:  Oh, and one more thing...

Tessa:  You're going to be our live-in genie maid and nanny.

Timmothy:  Wait, what did you just do to my mom?
Tessa:  Nothing, sweetie!
Bianca:  Well, as long as it gets me my youth back, I'm cool with it.  And check out these abs!

Pippin:  Tessa got ready for the big day.
Tessa:  And the gnomes set up the yard for the wedding!

Pippin:  I don't...the gnomes can't...
Tessa:  And they set up this awesome community lot!

Pippin:  Again, I don't...the gnomes can't...

Pippin:  Anyway, the guests arrived and the wedding was ready to begin.

Flint:  Hi there, I'm Flint MacDuff, and I like to photobomb precious moments.

Reverend Gnome:  ...
Tessa:  I do.
Reverend Gnome:  ...
Timmothy:  Umm, I do too?

Tessa:  I love you, Freddy!
Timmothy:  Timmothy.
Tessa:  That too.
Pippin:  And Emelie Van Gould played a rousing rendition of "Kum Ba Yah."
Emelie:  That's the only song I know!
Pippin:  And after the wedding, Tessa had plans for her new family.

Pippin:  And they ended up earning...almost nothing.
Tessa:  Dang it!  I need to get to China to that cool house my mom bought!
Pippin:  So you can work on your lifetime wish?
Tessa:  No, because the gnomes said so!
Pippin:  Well, for the time being, at least you have this comfy bench to sleep on...

Pippin:  Oh, and apparently you have a new little brother...

Pippin:  Rest well, strange little heir.  You have many adventures ahead of you.
