Aw, it's nice to see Carmella Hai again. She's odd looking, but she sometimes makes some nice kids (like Carmen!). I'm curious to see how her and Scottie's will turn out. It's only fitting that he go out and proliferate to spread those beautiful genes around. Barbara's got a nice Laura Croft type thing going on there--butt kicking indeed.

Camella is a homeless Sim, so Scottie was not able to procreate with her, sadly.  I thought they would have had beautiful nooboos.
I instantly thought Lara Croft with Barbara too!  I then thought of Isabelle Lightwood from the Mortal Instruments series.  Either way, Barbara is pretty awesome...as in pretty and awesome.  We'll be seeing a good deal more of her in Mal's time as heir.

You could find a way to temporarily move Carmella into the house, move her out to a place in-town, and then have Scottie make some kids with her.

I'm not saying that so you can have a chance at your very own Carmen. Why would I say that? ;)

Scottie has actually already made his own progress.  In fact, I'm just about to post about it.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--The Future of the Legacy
« Reply #304 on: April 26, 2014, 09:24:15 PM »
Having returned from her travels, Mal watched as her youngsters developed their own personalities.

Young Jessamine has taken to being called "Jessie" and is always wearing dresses:  even when she is painting.  She fancies herself to be quite the artist.  The rest of the household has mixed reviews on her skill.

Tessa has developed quite the skill for blowing things up.  She calls this "inventing."  Others might call it "destructive."

The girls are enjoying their bunk beds in the room that used to be Scottie's.
Scottie:  Can't I at least sleep inside on nights when zombies come out?!?
Mal:  What was that?  You suggested I should take Babs to Egypt?
Scottie:  What?  No, I...
Mal:  Okay!

Barbara:  Time to explore!
Mal:  Since it's an ex-plore, does that mean it's a plore you broke up with?

Pippin:  Plores aside, Barbara went straight to work with her tomb explorations.

Pippin:  And Mal managed to catch herself on fire...?

Mal:  (singing) This girl is on fiiiiiire!!
Pippin:  And Mal also found some time to dig for treasure.

Pippin:  Being famished from her adventures, Barbara stopped in for a bagel.

Pippin:  Hmm, that other girl looks familiar...however, that familiar looking gal was not the friend Mal chose to make.

Mal:  Look!!  Friends!!  I'll name them all Steve!!
Pippin:  Fortunately, Barbara convinced Mal to leave her friends behind and they returned to Moonlight Falls, where Scottie had some news.

Scottie:  So, this is kind of hard for me to say...
Mal:  Try using your mouth.  That's how I say things.  See?  I'm doing it right now!
Scottie:  What I mean is...well, Chrissy Rain and I...well, we kind of hooked up while you were gone.

Mal:  Aww, she's a cutie!  If she were a guy, I'd totally find her girly-looking!
Scottie:  Umm, yeah, so...she and i really connected...
Mal:  To each other?
Scottie:  Umm, yeah...so...I was kind of thinking I might leave you to be with her...

Mal:  When you find your treasure, you go for it.
Scottie:  I...wow, thanks.  You're taking this way better than I'd expected.
Mal:  I'm keeping your dad and sister.
Scottie:  Deal.

Despite the now broken home, the girls continued to develop just fine.

Tessa:  Hmm, I must say, this is the most challenging opponent I've ever faced.
Jessie:  You do know you're playing against a gnome, right?  An inanimate object?
Tessa: They're alive. They just hide it well.

Tessa:  What should I build next, magic inventing gnome?
Magic Inventing Gnome:  ...
Tessa:  That's a good idea.  Let's do that.

Jessie:  Well, Mr. Bear, I'm glad you like the juice box.  It's my own recipe. Now, since I've given you a juice box, you need to fix the TV.

Jessie:  Well, Walter Wolfe,
Gator:  My name's not Walter...
Jessie:  Don't interrupt, it's impolite.  Now, as I was saying, your house is rather lovely, so you might want to go out of your way to impress me as I'd actually be willing to consider you.
Gator:  Consider me for what?
Jessie:  Oh, you poor, naïve boy.

And thus, we have it affirmed, the future of the legacy in in good (and/or delusional) hands.

Good for Scottie, even if it's not Carmella. I still love Mal, but she got what she deserved.

What are Tessa and Jessamine's traits? I assume Tessa is eccentric while Jessie is artistic, but beyond that it's not clear.

I highly doubt she realize what she's supposed to got though. She'll probably just shrugged it off like a fly.

Anyway, see... (you don't get it?) What I mean is Tess looks like daddy and Jess is the one alike with mommy.
By the way, it seems Jess already has a choice, what cough WHO is Tess choice then?

Oh, agreed. She'll figure that this is what supposed to happen as it's totally normal, totally healthy, just like her upbringing, hehe.

Yeah, I figured SCottie should have a little happiness after being the butt of so many jokes in this legacy.
Oh, yes, traits.  I will post those when they age up to teen, which they've actually already done (a while ago) from where I am in game, so I don't remember which one was added for each when they aged up.

Oh, they haven't really made choices yet.  Jessie is just being sure she knows what her options are.
The resemblance for the girls comes out a lot more when they age up.  They're both very lovely!

Oh, agreed. She'll figure that this is what supposed to happen as it's totally normal, totally healthy, just like her upbringing, hehe.
Yeah, there is that concept that ignorance is bliss, and Mal seems to be as blissful as can be  :=)

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Older and Onwards
« Reply #309 on: May 02, 2014, 10:51:00 PM »

It was just another average day at the Schlick-Wainwright household.

Rhiannon:  Cody?  CODY NO!!!!
Jessie:  Daddy!  I mean...grandpa!

Tessa:  Why is Johnny Cash here?
Cody:  This is a different man in black, sweetie.
And thus, the household begins mourning the loss of Cody.  They all dealt with it in their own ways.

Mal:  Here, we'll play catch to take your mind off things.

Barbara:  Ow!  Can we stop playing "catch" now?
The twins dcided to distract themselves by aging up.

Jessie:  Okay, makeover time.

Tessa:  My turn now!

Tessa:  Umm, yeah, I guess I should do something with my clothes and stuff.

Tessa:  Yeah, I guess this will do.
Jessie appears to have gotten more of her mom's features,

and Tessa takes after her father.

Barbara:  So, I think Mal and I are going to head to China,

Tessa:  Wait, China?
Jessie:  Is there shopping there?
Tessa:  You're inviting us, right?
Barbara:  Oh...umm...yes?

Jessie:  Woot woot!  Shopping!!

Tessa:  Catacombs!  There might be gnomes!

Mal:  A new home!  A bit of a fixer upper...

Barbara:  A new fish?

Barbara:  A new sparring partner.  That's more like it.

They did a bit of tomb exploring.

Jessie was quite good at it.
And Tessa seemed to rile up the locals.

Tessa:  Since when is defiling a tomb while hunting for gnomes a bad thing?!?
And after their triumphant return, young Humberto became a young adult,

and moved out.
Shortly thereafter, the girls headed off to prom.

Tessa was humiliated when another girl wore the same dress, she gotinto a fight when someone hit on her crush, she won a dance fight, and then she ended up with a romantic interest named Zachariah Sandoval...who she'd never even met before.
Jessie had a more successful night as she was voted prom queen.  Then she tried to dance and fell flat on her face.
Barbara asked a loner to dance and was rewarded for her kindness by having him throw his drink in her face, and she came away with a romantic interest named Santos Hawley...who she'd never met before.

Of curse, when your arrival to the dance is this epic, it's bound to be a fantastic evening.
Scottie and Crissy had their first child...a baby girl named Lynette.

A couple of days after the dance, this happened...
Mal:  Barbara, why are you sparkly?

Barbara:  Umm, I'm afraid I'm getting older, twin.
Mal:  Oh, that's cool.  We should be the same age anyway, being twins and all.  After all, it's not like you'll be moving out or anything.
Barbara:  Oh, umm, about that...
Barbara explained calmly and rationally to Mal about how she had been offered a job in international business and that she would be moving out starting her new career.  Mal cried.  A lot.
And Barbara did her young adult makeover.

Then, with some trepidation, she stepped out the door and into her new life...

Oh! You must really like Barbara! I'll be checking out her story too. :)
Well, Cody, you were a great father-in-law for Mal, what with providing her with children and all.
Poor Mal, lost her man, her man on the side AND her twin.
The twin girls are interesting though, I wonder which one of them will take the reins?

The twins are absolutely gorgeous! I'm sure we'll learn a little more about them before the heir vote so I'm still very much undecided. I will say it could have made things easier if Tessa got the same color eyes as Jessie, because between Tessa's looks and eccentricity, I'm kind of leaning in her direction at the moment. At the same time, it's not like Jessie looks identical to her mother - not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just nice to be guaranteed a little shake-up in the genetics department so they both have that going for them to an extent. And man, those eyes of Jessie's are awesome...I don't think this will be an easy vote, even after the traits and LTWs are revealed.

I was about to write something else, but I think I'm just going to second this comment instead, pretty much sums it up for me, lol. Best of luck to Barbara in her new adventures abroad.

Let's take a closer look at the twins.  Specifically, let me, as their absent-minded watcher, actually tell you their traits!

Tessa has the savvy sculptor, eccentric, heavy sleeper, and daredevil traits.  She is also obsessed with gnomes and is convinced that they are alive and speak to her.

Jessamine is an over-emotional virtuoso and a brave couch potato.  She is scheming to try to find a life of comfort.  She paints rather than doing music since I already did the music thing with Chysm.  Painting is  more of a pastime than a passion.

Barbara won me over from day one.  I'm really excited to get her stories going.
Mal did lose a lot, but it's a nice chance to focus in more on her and her girls.

I was also rather happy with the unique looks the twins ended up getting.  Hooray for genetics!
Barbara's adventures should shape up to be a really fun series of adventures and a great exercise for me as a writer.  I hope you enjoy it.

Looks like I'll have to follow Barbara's story now!

I'm leaning towards Tessa when it comes to which one I prefer; I like her delicate features and inventors in general.
